This book is so real and I can just feel the energy and emotions of everyone affected in it. I myself have experienced something similar with a family member who went through the same thing. Chemotherapy is no joke not only that cancer itself is just a terrible thing . My heart just dropped and I actually teared up and I could not quit listening ! This is amazing . Remarkable! I don't regret reading this it was something I really enjoyed!

I started the book without knowing what to expect. I went in with an open mind, and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a powerful story about grit especially on the part of Louis’s parents and how far they were willing to go, even when doctors told them their child had neuroblastoma and gave little hope.

Determined to find the best treatment and a possible cure, they invested everything into a new, high-risk area of medicine where the failure rate was still very high. Their courage didn’t just lead to a breakthrough for Louis; it opened doors for other children facing similar diagnoses in the future.

It’s deeply inspiring. In a way, it reminded me of Dr. Ben Carson’s _Gifted Hands different stories, but both carry the same aura of grit, suspense, and what feels like scientific miracles happening to real patients.

The father begins journaling and teaching himself about his son’s condition, and his notes read almost like a medical school course. With my biology background, I found it even more engaging. I learned a lot about neurological disease while also riding the emotional highs of the story. If this had been fiction, it would still be a compelling read. But because it’s a true story, it’s even more beautiful and relatable.
