Wow who knew falling in love could be so difficult

Layla is going on her first camping trip, one of the items on her bucket list. It's funny the things that happen to this poor girl as she tries to fight her fears. Ezra is a firefighter that loves his single life and how he is able to do all the things he enjoys on his days off.
These two are hilarious and as you listen or read this book you will find yourself smiling at how serious they take everything. I love the way the author has taken us on a camping trip with so many sights to see and all the crazy things that happen when you do go camping. You can tell this is something that she has done and enjoyed to be able to write about the scenery and the fun things you can do when you decide to explore the great outdoors!

Cute story

I enjoyed the book but I didn’t enjoy as much as some of her other books. It is still worth reading. The characters are what I enjoyed the most. Her characters are most always likable. The one exception in this book was the male lead, Ezra. He was for the most part likable, but to whinny and indecisive for some of the book. I realize this may have been the character but it didn’t seem to fit the mold of a fireman who was a leader and in pursuit of the love of his life.

Spiders are terrifying

Spiders are terrifying to Leila but they serve the purpose of bringing her & Ezra together. There is conflict & misunderstanding between them that almost keeps them apart. One issue is their different race. They are not certain how their families will accept that difference. Another issue is miscommunication which can hinder any relationship. The story is true as relating to situations that happen in real life. Ms. Joyce is a good narrator but I didn't like her male voice. I was given this audible copy by the author.

Fun story!

A sweet story of Ezra and Leila. It was fun to see them realize who the other was and then getting to know each other. The sweet love story not to be crushed by the difference in their skin tones.

I loved the faith elements that were also a part of the story.

The narrative was well done on this.
