A Hasty Book List Pick

The interwoven plot

Love the author’s voice and characterization of the villains and protagonists. Reads like an extended episode of Detective Kenda’s case files. An impressive work of fiction and commentary on this very lethal drug.

Narration was excellent

The story keeps you engaged. You find it hard to stop. I thoroughly enjoyed this book

Another solid 4 star novel from Kenda

Entertaining enough if not a bit preachy. It's a quick and entertaining summer read. Very good narration.

Kept my interest, narrators paced the reading in a way that was easy for me to keep up with.

It was just easy listening, I will read this one again. The story was very accurate about this new pain medication.

The story line

This story kept me engaged the whole time. It was a subject that is relevant now and it is written in such a way that you know these people. I highly recommend this book. It’s a can’t miss.

thrilling and captivating

I listen to alot of true crime, this book, although fiction, details a real problem in the world, and was a great listen and read!

Great plot

Plot and narration were top notch. The story was rooted in reality with regard the start of the illegal Fentanyl scourge

The information was invaluable.

Storyline was captivating and very informative. Struggled to get through the parts where the grieving deputy spoke though; it was a bit much. Overall, I enjoyed it immensely, so much so, I bought the other Kenda book and will start it next.

Very well told. Interesting. I hope Joe has more books coming. Rooted in reality. Drug awareness. 👍
