Great First Entry

I've been following this author since he started writing and I'm really enjoying his first book. I like the narration, the characters are fun and funny and I am a fan of the genre. I hope to see more world building in the next book and some more minor struggles throughout.

Dropped into an Alt-Earth

So you're in the Army and you find yourself in an Alt-Earth that has elves, instead of humans, along with some nasty monsters. You're goal is to find a way home.

Sounds like it would be exciting and action driven and it is to a degree but its also the slow pace of getting from point A to B while trying to figure this world out and staying alive at the time.

Would a recommend this book? Yes and No. It's an interesting book that is over 12 hrs long and some of those hours are boring, interesting and moves the plot along but boring. I will say the narration is excellent. You could tell who was talking by their voice so you didn't get confused about who said what.

If you can get the book on sell, I would recommend it.

you get a book you think is a stinker and boom it transports you along fir the ride. this one was it.

Great Military Portal Fantasy

With no spoilers, this is probably in the top five list of this sub-genre. Characters are decent and the action is well done. I just wish book two was on Audible.

Fun

Not usually a fan of military books, pleasantly surprised with how this turned out. Lots of heart felt moments and interesting twists. Give this one a chance.
