Scott puts the "authors note" before the story, instead of after the story where they really belong. You listen to the story, then are waiting to hear what inspired it, and are really confused since it is about the next story. It took me 3 of them before I realized what was happening.
In his Generations series, he switches narrators for the 3rd book. While AB Novak is a fine narrator, she was NOT EM. It really ruined the series. While I have re-listened to the first 2 multiple times, I will never listen to the 3rd one again as it just is such a disappointment.
I had considered his GFL series one of the best until he makes a choice with 1 hour left in the last book that, for me, ruined the entire series going forward. I didn't even listen to the last hour for over a week I was so upset.
Maybe it is because he publishes his own stuff that he doesn't have the editor that would keep him from making these horrible choices. Not sure, whatever it might be, they add up after a while.
