Publisher's summary

I’m the oldest of all the Dixon boys.

Yeah, that family.

And, yeah, that Dixon. The one with a notorious temper and devastating fists.

My family tried everything short of giving up on me, but there’s only one person who can calm me.

Savannah Riley Dixon.

Girl next door. My best friend.

Sweeter than honey and stronger than whiskey. And the answer to my enraged soul.

From the moment she came skipping onto our ranch when we were kids, I knew she was my future - my everything.

One touch, the fire in me cools.

One kiss, that rage melts away.

But the girl who’s stood by my side through brawls, cop cars, and kids of our own warned me years ago: One more fight, and she’s gone.

For her, I’d do anything.

I’d lower my fists. I’d rein it all in. I’d stop the damn world.

But when someone threatens our marriage, all I see is red.

Do not waste your money

This book was horrible. Nothing happened. If you listened to the first three, all you need to know is that Savannah found out Beau cheated, they had one conversation, made up and were madly in love again. The author really stretched out these story lines. All four brothers stories could have been told in two books. Save your time.

All heart!!

I’ve been waiting for the release of this book for a while and it did not disappoint! One of the few books where my emotions ranged from all laugh to all tears. And as always, Jason and Erin brought their 'A' game - love when these two narrate together. In short, loved, loved, loved hearing Beau and Savannah’s story!

THE WHOLE TOWN?

Beau was the town & family scapegoat. Did he have anger issues, YUP! Would he fight at the drop of a hat, OH YEAH! Was he the monster that the family, the entire town (including the police & school administrators) made him out to be, NO!!! The conflicts between him & his brothers were mostly just sibling rivalry. Anybody with kids knows that a fight between siblings ( especially brothers) is the hardest fight you'll ever see. The times when he fought others ,according to this book, was when somebody was bullying, molesting or otherwise disrespecting a girl (including Savannah), his girl. According to this book the bully should be left alone to to do his worst because if you intervene or defend yourself YOU are the violent monster. This idea was planted from the beginning of the book, when his brother came to his house & attacked him & he fought back. The big secret from 13 years ago (before they were married) is revealed to his wife & she loses her mind & kicks him out. 13 yrs ago at a drunken party in a drunken haze in Beau & Savannah's room, Beau & Madison (his brothers girl & Savannah's best friend) thought they were having sex with their significant other, but ,no. Then Madison being the coward that she was didn't want Beau to tell the truth so she left town setting up 13 yrs of angst for Beau, his brother & Savannah. Oh & by the way nobody ever explained (in this book) how Madison ended up in Beau & Savannah's bed except to say that EVERBODY was really drunk & didn't remember. After that is hours of past & present dumping on Beau by everybody, including Beau, with the occasional sexcapades between Beau & Savannah & everybody forgetting that Madison was there too. The way this is written the only one who is paying any price for the mess is Beau. It just got tedious.

Couldn't relate to male lead.

Couldn't finish this book because the male lead wasn't anyone I could relate to or like at all. He always had an uncontrollable rage that had no source. Not logical.

Good

Overall all it was a good story. Normally I don’t like stories that jumps back and forth through years but this one wasn’t bad. If you can get over the length I say go for it.

Fire

Another winding road in the saga of the Dixon boys! Great storyline and performances.

I truly loved this series of Molly McAdams… of course, there was some moments of discontent with some of the characters but in truth they all came together in the last book.

Savannah and Beau’s love story was truly beautiful and in the course of real life twist and turns I was so glad that everything turned out for them.

I loved all the brothers and I’m envious of all the leading ladies, lol. Young love is so special and to be treasured.

Liked it, but the story dragged on more than necessary

I enjoyed the story and the characters, but it dragged on more than was necessary. In my opinion, this book should have been shortened by about 30%. Other than that, it was quite good. The narrators were excellent.

This could have been half its length

Even with the reviews that said that this book had a little substance, I still listened to it because it was the last in the series and I wanted to finish. This honestly could have been a novella and much of it was set in the past. I’m glad that this family worked some things out but seriously? It was way too long. Jason Clarke amazing as usual. Erin Mallon good as well.

so convoluted and over complicated

this is the 4th or 5th book in the brewed series I've read and I'm still at a loss as to what's goin on with the dad and the abuse. this story was almost a conclusion to another story so I was ready to hit the ground running but it just did loads of time jumps and skips and felt like the pacing was all wrong.

then just when you think it's over another ridiculous complication gets added to the mix. it made for frustrating reading and I gave up with only 2ish hours to go.

also it was a little disturbing to have pre-teens and then teens declare such powerful love and lustful thoughts.

It was really difficult to get into and from the get go, the male lead is very dislikable and blames his adultery on the woman he cheated on his wife with.

I cried so much that my face hurt! 🤣

I enjoyed the series! It was so well written that I felt all the emotions as if they were my own and ended up crying for most of it. I cried so much that my face hurt, 🤣 especially during book 2, definitely my favourite. I really hated story 3 though...

Overall, I would definitely recommend the series. Good writer, good narrators, you'll love it. 👌

Exciting

When I was not reading the book,I was listening to it. Although the story was great, I doubt that kids of 9 years old would have such conversations and what happened when they were 13/14 would have sound better with kids of 17/18.
overall I liked it. The natation was good and I will go purchase the next book of this serie

Bit long winded

Once I skipped all the going back in time, it became a lovely story. Very easy to fill in the blanks. Such a wholesome family story in the end. Will miss the Dixon boys.

A bit repetitive at times

Not a bad story and generally love this authors books but there was a bit too much repetition of "she's my fn world" from Beau. Got eye-rolling after a while. Narration excellent.

A good ending for the 4 book story!

Although the story went backwards and forwards in time, a few too many times, it gave a lot of context to Beau's background.
