Amazing story.

I read the book some time ago and NOW I listened to the audio and loved it even more than the first time around. Many audios have one narrator for both make and female characters. Fire has a male and female narrator and I loved both voices!

Maya missed her BFF and fellow firefighter. She missed sharing the underground club experience. Still, it was time to get out and live again. The first time she returns she met Tristan, the new owner, and recluse. She drew him and he danced with her surprising himself. Could he trust his feeling, what he saw in her? Even with his secret could they have something? What he didn't know was that Maya had her own secret. One she didn't share with anyone.
They have great chemistry. He's been honest with her and why he doesn't come around people. She seems okay with it, however, he doesn't want her to live in the shadows as he does. Can she convince him either he deserves the light or that if he can't share it with her she'll share his place?
Another amazing underground romance.

Plenty Of Sizzle & Sparks Heat Up This PNR

I thought that this was a very good book. This is the second book in this series. I feel that if you could easily enjoy this as a standalone story if you wanted to. This is Maya and Tristan's story. I liked this couple a lot. Their attraction is practically tangible and the chemistry just sizzles between these two. When these two come together expect plenty of heat! There is an almost yin and yang feel to these characters and that made this couple very appealing to me. I thought that the story was interesting and engaging. Well written and featuring a compelling combination of drama, secrets, excitement, action, steamy passion and romance, I thought that this was a very fun read. The narrators did an excellent job bringing these characters to life and I felt that their performance really helped to pull you into the story. I look forward to book three.

Fantastic PNR & Narration🎧 Maya💘Tristan🔥

This is a fantastic story, it is well written and well told. Lisa Carlisle created an imaginative story with equally imaginative characters. I enjoyed her writing style, she had my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. Her characters are complex and well developed. I adored the two leads and the chemistry between them. I admired Maya for her strength and how easily she accepted Tristan for who he was and his abilities. My heart went out to Tristan, his loneliness and his need to keep his distance from people. That was until he sees her on the dance floor of his new nightclub. She is his light to his dark but can it really be. I loved how well plotted this book is, there is plenty of drama, angst, some twists, magical moments, emotional ones as well as the start of a great romance. It was great to see the characters come into their own as they worked their magic together. Thank you Lisa Carlisle for this fantastic story.

Amber Lee Connors & Kieran Flitton are wonderful narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They did a great job portraying the characters and capturing their passion and emotions which could be heard in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Two lonely people come together

Maya returns to the nightclub where she and Nike always went dancing on their nights off from the firehouse. She hasn't seen the club, or her best friend, since the night of the explosion and fire. It is now under new management and when the new owner catches sight of Maya on the dance floor he is astonished that she is surrounded by light. He is so used to only seeing the darkness in people that he knows he must meet this woman. As they grow closer they must share secrets that could mean the end of their relationship or the beginning of something beautiful.

I thought some of the "feelings" in this story were a little too much. The way Tristan went off when Maya admitted she had kissed another man was a little over the top. He had just broken up with her after all. I was given a copy of this audiobook by the author. My review is voluntary.

Someone put this fire out!

Talk about hotness! This book does not wait to step up the heat! The anticipation of what was up with Maya and the light killed me and them once it was revealed.... bam! The only thing that bugged me was the condom sex! This story was amazing and look forward to listening/reading to others in this series! Kieran Flitton was a new narrator to me and he made me love Tristan even more!

Maya and Tristan

This is the second book in the Underground Encounters series but you don't have to have listened to the first one to enjoy this, although I do recommend it, I think this one was well written with excellent characters in Maya Winters and Tristan Stone. The chemistry in this particular book is off the charts, it's sooooo hot (perfect for a book called Fire)! The characters are so good together, they both have secrets she may be a fire-fighter but she also has a hidden edge which helps her do her job. Whilst Tristan is a witch, who comes from an old Salem family, but he thinks the talents he has inherited are more of a curse than anything else.

In the first book Maya and her friend Nike, also a fire-fighter, went to Vamps an underground Goth club they both enjoyed visiting, Nike met the owner Michel, a vampire and they began a relationship. Later there was a fire which caused lots of damage so Michel decided to sell the club, which was later bought and re-vamped by Tristan.

Tristan may own the club but he doesn't frequent it, his curse makes doing so difficult but one night he sees Maya and is drawn to her, the feeling is mutual, but will they be able to make a relationship work? Will they trust each other with their secrets especially as what they have together is too good to let it go.

I really enjoyed this book, I enjoyed the storyline, the characters, the chemistry and the writing style. The book is narrated by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton who brought the characters to life beautifully.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Witches

I loved this book and the time relationship that developed in this book. I like do the magic and powers in this one also getting to see some of the characters from the first book. This one doesn’t have to be listened to after the first one it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone but is better listened to after the first book. Maya and Tristan were such strong characters though both of them were idiots at times and made me want to scream but it does have a HEA which is good. I hope we get to see more of the gargoyles soon and find out more about their curse but this was still a good book. This is definitely a very steamy and sexy book with some very kinky sex scenes. Tristan and Maya both have their issues but they are able to bring out the best in each other and learn more about Themselves and each other. I hope to learn more about the magic too in these books. I hope to see more of these character shows in later books. Such good chemistry and sizzle. The pacing was really good too and so was the action. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

Fire.

Starts off a good storyline then the emotionally overdramatic shit hits the fan you might say. I kept waiting for the story to kick back in in ernest which took a while. Apart from that there were some good parts that could have been expanded on as they were real interesting.

Intriguing

I listened to Fire as a standalone, and got the storyline, but I would recommend listening to first book Smolder first, which hopefully I will do. Having said that, characters are well developed, has an interesting storyline which is dark around the edges with pn flair.
I enjoyed Amber and Kieran’s narration in bringing these characters to life.
I was gifted this audible book for a fair and honest review.

Superb Narration

Fire is a fantastic follow-up to the first book, I wholly enjoyed listing to every minute of it. The storyline is well-written, entertaining, and engaging. I adore the characters, they are fascinating, intriguing, and with depth.

The narration by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton is Fabulous. They brought the story and characters to life; I thoroughly enjoyed listing to their performance.
