Publisher's Summary

A novel about a shattered family, broken hearts, and healing love by Rachel Van Dyken, the number one New York Times bestselling author of Stealing Her.

Coming out of a coma was one hell of a wake-up call. While I was in the dark, my estranged twin brother, Bridge, had replaced me in the company I owned and swept up my fiancée in the takeover. With my ruthless reputation, can I blame them for falling in love? I have to look long and hard at where I've been and where I’m headed. Alone time? The universe has other plans.

Our family's secluded Vermont cabin comes with a gorgeous - if at first, unwelcoming - surprise. She’s renter Keaton Westbrook, a social media superstar struggling with her own private grief. As a winter storm bears down, we've found something to keep us warm - an intimacy neither of us expected and both of us need.

After we say goodbye, what happens then? Keaton and I are longing to reconcile with our painful pasts. I can't bear to do it without her. Is it too much to ask of fate to give us a second chance at life and love?

Feels

I am not usually as moved by a story as I was with this one. I started out reading it, but was reminded the KU on this one also came with audible when I found it in my audible library. Since I had some crafting I wanted to do, I switched to Audible. Discovered that I was very glad I did. This turned out to be a five tissue read for me. The things Julian was feeling hit home and set off the water works. I cried so much I wouldn't have been able to continue reading until the happy-ever-after. But I had no problems listening. Julian was didn't appear to be a very nice person in the last book. They painted him with the same paint brush as his father was a complete jerk - and I am being nice with that description. In this book we find that really isn't who he is at all. I very much identified with him. Sadly I am not a billionaire like Julian, but I know what he felt. I cried for him. Now many of you will be crying for Keaton and her baggage over her lost love. That too was rather heart rendering. But for me, it was Julian. An awesome read, but do have a tissue box handy.

It’s time for Julian!!

This is Finding Him, book 2 of the Covet duet, written by Rachel Van Dyken. Now it’s time for Julian to get on with his life, since he woke up from his coma in book 1 and found his “life” stolen. In walks Keaton, who is struggling with the loss of her love and trying to write a book to share her story. How can two people bond over words as they are both reeling from the deaths of the most important person in their life? Will Julian always be the twin who only lives for his job? Can Keaton ever recover from watching Noah die? Out of loss, great love is found. You will be laughing at them one minute, and wanting to smack them the next. The audio performances are nice and expressive.

Redemption

I was not a Julian fan at all I did not like his attitude or personality in Stealing Her I felt his reasons did not excuse his actions But in Finding Him he redeems himself and shows a different side and you begin to understand this complicated confused young boy in a mans body just looking for someone to love him.

Finding Him: 4.9 stars

The second book in this duet. Butcit can be read as a stand alone. I loved this book. This book is about Julian's upheaval following coma. A lovely love story of two people dealing with loss and pain. Written great. A lovely book. Very recommended.

Worth the fight...for love!

I didn’t think I’ll like Julian as much as I thought I would and Keaton is such a doll! I truly dig how emotional this story is and also, how steamy the romance also can be. Something about knowing someone down to the inner core of the soul and accepting him/her or even, themselves. The “don’t care” how the world thinks of them but how they need to think for themselves to get healthy again, to be free again, to ‘LIVE’ again is beautifully done. The pain is real but healing is as much...as real, too. Rachel Van Dyken never fails to surprise me! This is enjoyable! I think it’s best, though, to read the 1st book to comprehend about the 2nd book in this series!

Beautifully emotional

Wow, this is a deep and very emotional story. This is Julian's story but so much more. Julian was forced to go on a vacation because he was so depressed and angry after losing his fiance to his brother (this is book 2 in this series and while it is a standalone romance, it is a continuation and best to read the first book first, which features his twin brother and his ex fiance. You get an idea of where he's coming from if you read the first story.) He meets Keaton, who lost the love of her life to cancer months ago. Together, they heal each other through sharing their stories and even a little laughter. Reading (or since I listened to the audiobook, listening) to their stories broke my heart. The fight against cancer is rough and heartbreaking (Keaton's telling of her last days with her love was heartbreaking and reminded me of my time with my father, who I also lost to cancer). It's an emotional story, peppered with wonderful banter than managed to make me laugh even during this draining journey. But Keaton, as a social media superstar, had to figure out how to live life after such a deep loss. Can they get through the pain together? The audiobook was great. I loved Brian Pallino's reading and he has a beautifully deep voice that drew me into the story. CJ Bloom also did an amazing job. I bought the audiobook because this is definitely one i'll want to listen to again.

Perfect!

I wasn’t prepared to like Julian but I completely fell for him in this book. And Keaton is an amazing heroine. Both characters have so much baggage they can barely see straight. But somehow they find peace and hope in each other. The world and all of their insecurities keep encroaching but losing him (Noah) and finding him (Julian) gives them a chance to move on and really start living...and love each other with all of the joy true love brings.
