Publisher's Summary

He’s bossy, moody, and overprotective.

He’s also a pro athlete who needs to focus on winning games and staying out of the headlines.

I’m fiercely independent and need a man like I need a second period each month.

So when our worlds collide, I never expected him to be the one to jump in and save me. Especially not when my roommate disappears, leaving me with her baby.

I’m clueless about babies - and it shows. Good thing Alexei isn’t. With six nieces and nephews and an apparent hero complex, the dude is both sexy and more than capable. It’s a combination that makes it easy to forget we’re just playing house.

This audiobook includes the bonus novella Bossy Brit, which is only available in audio in this edition of Finding Alexei. It is narrated by Shane East and Erin Mallon.

I really love Kendall Ryan's books !! 💕

I absolutely love Kendall Ryan and have read/listened to most of her books.
Jason and Erin have some good chemistry in finding Alexei. I love these two together.
Yes this book has a familiar spin and story but I love listening to Jason and Erin's narrating. I think I've listened to everything they've narrated together. Erin has that sweet girl next door voice sometimes but she can do naughty pretty damn good too.
This book is short, sweet and a little sexy but no angst. A few other funny characters but I liked it a lot.
There's 2 surprises after the conclusion of this book. A short bonus novella and chapters from Ms. Ryan's other new book Boyfriend for hire coming out soon. Looking forward to it!!

Female narration

Great story. Erin’s narration is clear and read well, but her habit of drawing out the end of words at the end of phrases or sentences is very distracting and hard to listen to.

“I Believe the Technical Term is Ovary Explosion”

Ryleigh is doing the best she can. Her ex-roommate left her with her baby, her car needs some work, she’s late on utilities and rent and she’s just been propositioned outside of the topless bar where she works. Alexei needs to focus on football, keep himself out of the headlines and concentrate on winning games - so why does he find himself intervening when he sees a woman in need of help outside of a bar? Because he’s got a hero complex, younger sisters and a mother who would be ashamed if he didn’t help out.

I really enjoyed this one! It had me smiling and swooning and is full of heart. It even made me tear up a bit. Ryleigh is a great heroine, she is put into a really difficult situation when baby Ella is left in her care but she is strong, feisty and even though she is prideful she is willing to put it aside to put Ella first. Alexei was the perfect hero for me. He is very protective of the ones he loves, is respectful and loves that Ryleigh doesn’t care one iota that he is a famous football player. He knew when to push things and when to leave things alone. There was total cuteness overload during the scenes where Alexei interacts with Ella, and I loved seeing him interact with his family. You get the sense right away that he is a great guy with a big heart (who also happens to know his way around a baby due to being an uncle who gets put in charge of babysitting duties every once in a while). The sex scenes were hot and so well written and felt natural to the story.

Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke do a phenomenal job! Those two bring any book they perform to the next level - they draw you in and squeeze the emotions out of you. I’ve listened to so many books both of them have done and could not say enough great things about them.

This was actually a short book, it ended around the 4:09 mark. After that there was a bonus novella (which was about 2 and a half hours long) that Kendall Ryan sent out in her reader newsletter called Bossy Brit narrated by Erin Mallon and Shane East, which was a nice treat. Followed by a 20 minute preview of Boyfriend for Hire. There was kind of a technical error that put a tiny part of Finding Alexei at the end of the audiobook- but it didn’t detract from the book in any sort of way. Overall, it was worth the credit! I highly recommend this one!

Perfect mix of sweet and sexy!

This book is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy. Alexei is a pro football player and Ryleigh is a single mom, well... kind of?

Ryleigh's roommate recently took off and left her 2 month old baby with Ryleigh. Ryleigh, who was barley making ends meet with a roommate is in a bad place, now living alone and having a baby to take care of. Alexei comes into Ryleigh's life at the perfect time. He almost seems too good to be true, but he is so genuinely great and is willing to help her out, she can't refuse. If only for Ella's sake. At first, it's just Alexei helping her out with the baby, but then sparks start to fly between the two of them.

If you've read Dear Jane you've met Alex already. He was the best guy. Reading about him and baby Ella was adorable and so so sweet. I loved the way he took to her so quickly. Alexei seemed pretty perfect and was for sure perfect for Ryleigh.

Finding Alexei is narrated by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon and as always, they do a great job. I think Erin is one of the best narrators for voicing both the female and male characters. Also, an fyi- if you pick up the audio book, you get the Kendall Ryan novella (Bossy Brit) for free added to the end, and it's narrated by Erin Mallon and Shane West (he does the best British narration) so that was a treat! Overall a heartfelt and steamy read. Short, sweet, and very little drama.

Short & Sweet

Football player + unexpected baby? Sign me up, every time. And Finding Alexei did not disappoint. It was short, sweet, and adorable. Alexei was a little more open than I anticipated, but I adored him nonetheless and - perhaps no surprise - his scenes with little Ella were my favorite. Seriously - ovary explosion!

I also adored him with Ryleigh. This is a really simple love story - so there's not a lot of grit or drama, but there is a fair amount of emotion and I found myself swept up in it. I loved Ryleigh and Alexei together, and I SUPER loved the dynamic between the little trio.

Full disclosure: the female narrator is not one of my favorites. I find her enunciation a little distracting from the story. However the male narrator more than made up for it and over-all, I still really enjoyed this story. If you're looking for something light and virtually angst-free, don't pass this one by!

Alpha Hero + Independent heroine = YES PLEASE!

4.5 Stars

I love reading about alpha heroes that have a giant heart. Especially when it comes to babies. The instant connection was inevitable between Riley and Alexei. I enjoyed that Riley wanted to remain independent despite her trying circumstances. A heroine that doesn't need the Hero to fulfill her makes this reader's heart happy.

I really enjoyed the both narrator's performances. Just the right amount of angst and emotion to make me feel this story deep in my heart.

The only thing I was disappointed with was the book ending at 59%. The remainder of the audio was a preview for another book. I guess I just wasn't ready to say goodbye yet.

it's a Disney perfect whirlwind romance

I had fun listening to Finding Alexei. Its sweet, sexy and has the perfect ever after.

I loved the narrators. Both are faves of mine and I constantly gobble up their performances.

The only disappointment I have is that Finding Alexei ends at Chapter 18 of 35. Done. It's over. I thought it was longer and so I'm mildly annoyed by the abruptness. The story completes it's full arc but when you listen and occasionally see the timeline for the listen you aren't expecting it to be over at the halfway point. sigh. Just a heads up

Sweet, swoony story that’s not to be missed!

Oooh boy!! Alexei and Riley are a fun pair!! This book was such a great, sweet, swoony and delicious read. Riley and Ella come crashing into Alexei's world, yet he seems comforted by them. I was drawn into the chemistry between Riley and Alexei. I enjoyed how protective he was of her. He genuinely cared about people and Riley was no exception. It made my ovaries explode with the cuteness of him and Ella! *Swoon* And the way he pursued Riley. *swoon again* I devoured this book and was lost in their world. Riley is a strong, independent woman who wants to depend on no one. She's a breath of fresh air to Alexei. He's nurturing and protective and he looks out for what's his. I enjoyed their story and sweet little Ella.
I thought Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon did a great job of bringing these characters to life! Don't miss out on this fabulous read!

Plus, this book came with the added bonus of listening to Bossy Brit narrated by Erin Mallon and Shane East. WHEW! It was such a fun story to get to listen to! Their adventure moved quickly, but yet it felt believable. It was hot, sexy and all-around fun listen. Plus, Shane East as Liam was an eargasm!

Short but good

This one did feel like a novella. I enjoyed the story though. The male narrator was fantastic. I wish he read the whole book. The female narrator’s habit of sighing and dragging out the end of words is annoying. I will definitely avoid her narration in the future.
