Loved this book but then again I love most of Jenn Bullard books. The creative ways she writes these dark omegaverse is amazing. Definitely read this book or you will be missing out. The audible was my only issue because Cerenitys voice was like she would cry the whole time. It got really annoying and hard to keep track of her mood.

FMC character and narration issues

I was hoping that the narration of the FMC in the first book was an artistic choice per the character, but the over dramatic/whiny tone continued into this book. She is written as a tough, no nonsense woman, but the audio really does the character a disservice. Won’t be purchasing the last book as it is the same narrator.

Fuck yah

The badass omega she didnt just lay down and submit. she made them work for it.

Solid Story, 2-Star Female Narration

Cerenity is a kickass FMC with a successful business, a great relationship with her best friend/business partner/scent match, and an intriguing romance that expands when his boyfriend becomes hers. Add in mafia ties, and this story kept me hooked.

The female narrator, however, was a major disappointment. She gave Cerenity a whiny, crybaby affectation that didn't fit such a strong character at all. The male narrator delivered a much better performance.

I definitely recommend the story, but I'd skip the audiobook and read it on Kindle Unlimited instead.
