Publisher's Summary

A Sweetwater Canyon Novel – Michele's Story

Balancing a career and a relationship is never easy, and it's even harder when you are on the road and everyone wants a piece of you.

As a music major who sacrificed everything to become master of the upright bass, the last thing Michele Scott thought she'd be doing is touring with an Americana and Bluegrass band. But to tell the truth, she loves it.

Not so much David Blackstone. Even though he's irresistible, the thought of balancing her career, life on the road, and a long-distance relationship isn't for her. Her music gives her life, yet her heart yearns for something more. A girl just can't have it all… or can she? Trusting David is a risk that may give her everything she wants or it will close her heart forever.

A mixed emotions relationship

This is a very complex story, and it is a very simple story. Man and woman encounter each other, both not wanting a relationship, but want to explore the attraction.
The previous damage done by a previous partner, causes stress, but is overcome by support of the stranger /friend. All goes well until a minor misunderstanding becomes a very big road block.
Everyone sees how good they are together, so friends and family are willing to help to get relationship back on rails.
A very good story.

Good Listen

Michele was hurt and abused by her old boyfriend so she steered clear of relationships and focused on her music. She has finally gotten her big break and then here comes David. He makes all the right moves until he sees something and overreacts. Can they make it through this and will her music suffer. Good Narration, very emotional. Emotional Journey

This is a well-written book about following your dreams, letting go of your past, and listening to your heart. The characters are endearing and likable. Most of the characters have some baggage from their past they are dealing with and slowing overcoming. The story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster from the sweet introduction of a love interest, to the anger of an assault, sadness of disappointment, and back to the happiness of true love.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The narrator Sonja Field helped the story leap off the pages. The accents, time, and diction helped to give the story an even more realistic tone of voice. I felt like I was seeing this story take place before my eyes.

I was given a copy of this book in hopes I would provide an honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own and have in no way been influenced. I recommend this book to romance fans.

Adult Romance Explicit Content

I have listened to other books by this author and really enjoyed them so I wanted to listen to this one as well. Although I like the story line and plot for this story it was far to explicit with the bedroom content for me. I would compare to 50 Shades of Grey in sexual content although the style is different. I still really like the author but will steer clear of this series as it was more graphic then I like. I felt the narrator did a wonderful job with this book and was a pleasure to listen to.

Great Listen

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I really enjoyed this heart-felt story. Michele's story is very intriguing. She has had a tough time and she achieves her dream job and a gorgeous man. What more can you ask for? Their relationship isn't easy, but with David's tenacity... The narrator was excellent. This is my first Maggie Lynch book and will be looking forward to the rest of the series.

Very Entertaining

This is a good story about building new lifetime friendships and finding romance and love. The characters are all interesting with distinct personalities and a personal strength. The twists and turns between Michelle and Davids budding romance keeps the story interesting. The narration is very good. It's easy to follow each character and Sonja Field does a good job of bringing out their personalities. I would recommend this book. Also, I was received the audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. Enjoy!

Nice

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This would have been a five star for me except for the sex scenes and the immaturity of the heroine. She was smart but too youthful to be paired with the hero. I loved the secondary characters and especially the teen who talked too much and seemed to be a bottomless pit for food. The group performed well together and were great supports for each other. David served them all and improved the performance schedule and made the group even more popular. The narrator did an incredible job and made the story come alive. This is a great story and a great beginning for the series. It ends on a sort of cliffhanger which leads to the next book although the story is complete.
