Outstanding political satire

Here is another Carl Hiassen gem! He is a master of funny and intelligent politics

If you love “The View” you’ll love this.

A must read/listen. Funny and colorful as ever. Carll has a masterful way of enticing the reader to follow his menagerie of ne’er do wells chapter after chapter and ultimately leaving the audience wanting to murder a health insurance executive . Luigi sure won’t have to worry about lawyers fees as long as ole CH can keep cranking out these hilarious romps!

Excellent narrator!

Hiaasen is able to lampoon this malignant segment of our society in a hilarious and revealing way. Unfortunately, our society seems to have splintered into this group of demented right wing bigots & all too passive liberal humanists.

Great Satire

Loved the humor and characterizations. Hiaasen nails the underlying inanity of discrimination and the hateful white supremacy mythology.

Humor & Florida man

Love his irreverent writing. So true in these crazy political times. Laugh out loud & true justice for this stupid guys!

Vulgarity

Hiaasin can spin a good tale, and make characters misbehave similarly to current politicians, but he really doesn’t need to be so vulgar to sell a good book.

Almost too much

Good but not as funny as classic 1990s Carl H. It’s like a too sweet dessert you used to love when younger but now you just don’t have the taste buds for it anymore.

The Other are So Much Better

This is ok. It might be my least favourite of his books, but it’s still a quick fun read. I didn’t enjoy this narrator very much but again, the book is quick.

Fun read

I like all the references to my blah every day life. Wordle, Metallica the beach.

CRAZY

As expected, a cast of crazy characters in crazy situations. Tangents of bad guys and one smarter than all the others who makes them pay in crazy ways. Wrapped up with a happy ending on the side of righteousness. Enjoyed every minute.
