Publisher's Summary

He warned me what would happen if he lost control. I didn't listen.

He told me to stay away from him, that if I got too close he would not be able to stop himself. He would pin me down and take me so fiercely my throat would be sore from screaming before he finished wringing one savage, desperate climax after another from my helpless, quivering body.

Part of me was terrified, but another part needed to know if he would truly throw me to the ground, mount me, and rut me like a wild animal, longer and harder than any human ever could.

Now, as the feral beast flips me over to claim me even more shamefully when I've already been used more thoroughly than I imagined possible, I wonder if I should have listened to him....

Oh Lordy!

Let me first tell you- I have read Sara Fields book before so I had some expectations going into this. I expected some serious steam and I expected a commanding, dominant Hero (or 2). Sara did not disappoint! This was less sci-fi feeling than her Vakarran Captive series but still gave a dose for those that love her alien storylines.

This was my first encounter with Bo Alexander that I am aware of and I must say, I really enjoyed his performance!

This was a great, dark, captivating, sizzling Listen.

P.S. I LOOOOVED the extra "bits" Sara!

Feral – Hot Alien/Man Axel

Cosima is a journalist who makes her way into Echelon 67 (kind of like Area 51) to find out what experiments are going on. As she was snooping around and reading a report she should not have seen, she gets caught by the humans who work there. They secure her and take her further into Echelon 67. One of the escaped experiments, Saleous, comes in and kills all of the humans except her. He attempts to mount her. Axel, another experiment who seems more human, saves her, knocks him out and takes her to an area in the mountains where he warns her to stay away from him. He can smell her arousal and is trying to pull himself together. She is drawn to him and does not listen. Their story takes off from there. I enjoyed this book and Ms. Field’s writing style. The book flowed nicely and moved along very quickly. I love the fight scene when Saleous catches up with Axel and Cosima. Also, I loved the ending. Very nice!

The narrator, Bo Alexander, was new to me and I felt he did a good job. I was given this free copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

So much better than I thought

Sara Fields is a new author to me and I was definitely excited to have found her. Feral is the first “Alien” story that I have enjoyed and I was pleasantly surprised with how quick I was to start enjoying the story. Cosima is a medical journalist after the biggest story of her life. She takes a huge risk to infiltrate a government facility but the risk was more serious than she ever thought possible. It was life threatening and scary as hell. Cosima stumbled on a facility that not only researched and experimented on aliens but they lost control of the facility to one very angry pissed off alien that is killing everyone and his brother Axel who is trying to stop him. Axel is a sexy and very strong being. He finds Cosima about to be ravaged and saves her. He protects her and falls in love with her. The whole story starts off based on sex and it’s hard, fierce and without limits. Ince you get past all the hot sex though the story starts to unfold and it’s a sad one for Axel. Cosima is the one good thing that has ever happened to Axel and he will fight to his death to have her.

Bo Alexander does an impressive job with the narration of this book and bringing to life a story so dark and twisted. A great audiobook that I would highly recommend and if you have never read an alien story before than start with this one. You will want to read more.

SO DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

I have really enjoyed listening to her book's! It was disappointing to discovering that the man was reading a female part! Not to come of unaccepting but listening to it sounds like dude on dude!!! I am sure if I read the book I will still like it.

Waste of time & money.

This was the worst story ever! Any editor that worked on this book and still allowed it to be published should be fired. The narrator was completely monotone even during sex and fight scenes. don't waste your money!

Character gender?

The book is in the first-person and read by a male, but no identifying pronouns are used to clarify the character’s gender until 40 minutes in. Even then, it’s through logic at the description of a bodily function that it is finally clarified that the character is female. (It really could go either way up until then.) Why, when the speaker is female, do they have a male reading the book! It was just confusing to begin with! Especially since the reader doesn’t use any variation of voice to distinguish the male/female characters. The perspective does eventually switch to the male character, but only a few brief chapters. It would have been better to have a female reader that could do a male voice for those few parts of the book.

The story is weak and has holes in its logic. Not all scientific “facts” are reasonable. Also, the writer often just throws in new technology to fit the moment, no prior reference, rather than the characters solving problems with existing resources/information/etc.

Very D/s in nature, and no true logic to their “love” developing. Bad, even for ‘low-brow’ fiction.

Another Super Hot 🥵 Audiobook

Sara Fields is a master at creating dark BDSM stories and Consumed is no exception. Meghan did an amazing job narrating and using different voices.

Bad!

This book and its narrator is just bad. Normally I can hang in to at least chapter 3, but this was so bad, I didn't even finish chapter 2. Male reading (sounding male, not even trying) reading female part. Story line is just bad. Save your money on this one.

Great narrator

Feral is a sci-fi alien BDSM erotic romance, focused on dominance, submission, and punishment. Axel is a genetically engineered alien modified with human DNA. Cosima used to be a science test and looking for a story. The conflict is between Alex's evil brother, bent on killing humans, Cosimo and Alex. Most of the audiobook is explicit scenes. Feral is an erotic fantasy; if you are looking for a sci-fi romance with a rich plot, this is not it. The writing was great and well-paced. Bo Alexander did a wonderful job with the narration. He has a smooth and very pleasant voice.

1 star. Less if possible. Hate giving bad reviews

There aren't many books I really disliked, but this is one of them... and I haven't even finished it!!!
Here are the reasons why.
Cosima is a weak minded female, coming off at first as someone strong, who let's someone ( an experimental human made from alien DNA ) basically do anything he wants to her and punish her as he sees fit without argument. I mean...no argument. She's like a puppet. No personality, no backbone, no depth.
There is no real storyline, unless you count sex; which I don't. And 98% of the book is just that.
There is also a huge plot hole that the writer should have noticed and corrected. Cosima was punished by Axel after disobeying him by leaving the cave. He punishes her by having anal sex with her and not giving any pleasure back and Cosima acts like she's never been looked at or touched in that way, and is shocked and unsure of it. However, the first time they have sex he also takes her there. Did she forget? No. The writer did. It was really off putting and confusing.

I'm disappointed in this book and don't understand why it has any good ratings to be honest. It had so much potential and I'm sad that it has left me wanting. This was my first boom from this author and I don't think I'm going to be reading another of her books.
if you want a good book to read with this type of storyline you should try New species. by laurann dohner.

Fantastic

This is what I have come to expect and love from a Sara fields novel. The characters are well thought out and the story leads naturally to the smutty side of the story very well albeit quickly. A very enjoyable novel

Magnificent!

I absolutely loved this book! The author does a great job of telling a story and laying out the ground work for a fabulous story. This storyline is definitely well written. I can’t wait for more books in this series. Sara Fields is a wonderful author that has a wonderful imagination and a spectacular way of telling a story.
The narrator does a excellent job with the characters and voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters.
It’s a definite must listen to audiobooks!

Great narrator, good story

Firstly...Bo Alexander and that voice...he could read me the phone book, love it! I was a bit confused at the beginning as I thought the first character was male, ummm yeah, then the male voice kicked in and my tummy did little rumble. Absolutely no complaints from me....

I really enjoyed the set up of the story, and that extra bit that Axel has, lol, you'll know what I mean when you get to it. I could see the world and the characters around me as I listened, which was great. A few parts made me chuckle out loud but not for the reasons you might think.

Definately feral!

A sweet short story with a difference (lots of heat, if a little repetitive) I liked the idea of the additional anatomical reference In the hot spot.
I was confused at the beginning as I thought the character talking was male so I though it was same sex, but I was soon put right.
Bo Alexander has a nice voice to listen to.

Feral

What a unique version of an alien creature. I enjoyed this book and the details are so thorough you see everything in your mind perfectly and can I also add HOT!!! These characters are such a great fit for each other regardless of how they came to meet. The author gave this book a perfect ending as well. All wrapped up with a pretty little bow.
Narration in this book was done very well. I loved the deep throaty voice the best.
