Critic reviews

"Narrator Clare Corbett flawlessly creates the accents and setting of Lenchester, England, while introducing Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker and her polar opposite, psychologist Georgina Cavendish.... Corbett's best creation is pathologist Clare Dexter whose eccentricities add a bit of levity. The well-rendered step-by-step procedural, with its gripping conclusion, makes for an exceptional listen." (AudioFile Magazine, review of Cavendish & Walker)

Great pair

I very much like this series. I agree with other reviewer’s that the narration is generally excellent. The one thing that disturbs me is that she makes George sound like she’s about 75.

I Don’t want to miss a single book!

I have read the first two novels in the series. I think these are some of the best crime novels EVER! They kept my interest and the drama was intense at times. AND I am so pleased that there hasn’t been a lot of cursing and bad language. The author is talented enough to make the books super-interesting without it and I’m thankful for that. I want to read every one of her books!

Only getting better

I gave 5 stars to the first installment in this series, and the second book is even better. The author does a great job of balancing the tension of the relationships with the thickening of the bonds of these new friends. The chase of the serial killer, along with trying to figure out who it is, makes this a fun read. Again, well done Clare...and Sally. I haven't started the third one yet, but I plan to soon, maybe even today.

Important topic, well treated

I know intellectually that vigilantism is wrong, but in this case it was hard not to sympathize with the killer. I appreciated the dynamics between our heroines. This was an important topic to dig into, particularly the steps pedophiles use to groom young women online. Whatever measures can be taken to stop these selfish vultures should be taken. A solid crime story.
