Publisher's Summary

Welcome to Kennedy Fox Bedtime Reads! Steamy love stories you can listen to in one sitting! After everyone goes to bed for the night, snuggle up with a Kennedy Fox Bedtime Read! These are fast-paced, full-length standalone novels that are filled with humor and insta-lust, but still have everything you love about a Kennedy Fox book.

Never trust a man who answers the front door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk. That should've been my first sign. I write about guys just like him for a living - sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic f--kboy. And I want nothing to do with that.

Writing romance novels comes with its perks - traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head - but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges all my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you. One week is all it took. One week to realize that not everything is as it seems.

One week with the bad boy, and I wanted more.

This book was purely sex on a stick!

Holy tahiti man! This book was purely sex on a stick! So I'm gonna give it to ya strait! This is a completely insta-love type of book. So while it might not be a realistic story, it was a fantastic non-fiction book! I loved Ethan. He was super sweet and utra sexy! The analogies he threw out upon meeting Vada. I seriously hooted out laughter several times!

Now, with this being an audio book I feel like got more feelings out of it. The narrators CJ Bloom and Joe Arden were seriously fantastic! That southern drawl that Joe portrayed was great! I loved CJ's different tones. These narrators did a superb job and making their listeners feel the emotion in the book... even if most of it was horngry! ;)

Hot, but sad, but sweet and then hot again!

I LOVED THIS AUDIOBOOK!

First off, Joe Arden with a slight southern twang? Yes, please. CJ Bloom was great as her character, too! Just really perfect choices on the narrators here.
As for the story, WOW, I was not expecting it to be to be what it was. I thought this book would be equivalent to a quickie, if you know what I mean. And I did finish it quickly, but it had much more depth than I was expecting. Ethan's back story literally made me tear up and Vada was a strong heroine that I really respected. Their chemistry level was off the charts, but they also had a lot of humor and then some seriousness between them. LOVED IT!

Love, angst, and a dirty talking Joe Arden. Yes, Please!

I’m a total fangirl when it comes to the insta-love trope and My Week with the Bad Boy was a book that does it so freaking well! I loved Vada! How could I not? She’s a freaking romance writer! But mostly it was her sass. She definitely gives Ethan a run for his money. And oh, Ethan! He’s totally got the bad boy thing down, but as the story goes on we see all the layers behind the manwhore exterior and I found myself falling for him just like Vada. My Week with the Bad Boy was filled with fantastic banter, an amazing backstory, solid characters, and sizzling chemistry and plenty of angst to keep me book heaven.

Narration for this book was great. The pairing of CJ Boom and Joe Arden is one I hadn’t come across before, but I really enjoyed it. CJ Bloom does a great job of infusing the right amount of sass into Vada’s character and giving her vulnerability as well. Joe Arden. Wow. I loved his narration. Especially when he was giving life to Ethan’s dirty talking tendencies. Yes, please! Definitely worthy of a credit. 5 Stars.

Heartfelt & Naughty!

This was a great story and great narration. In this story we have a very alpha, yet vulnerable male hero. Then the heroine was very sassy, yet naïve. I really enjoyed the narration from both the male and female counterparts for Ethan and Veta. Joe and CJ did an excellent job of making this story come to life. This is a duo I would definitely love to listen to again. I also thought the story was really good. Ethan has gone through some devastating times and is still dealing with the aftermath of that pain. Veta has been wronged by men more times that she knows how to count, so she's on the defense and doesn't want to allow herself to fall for the same tricks she's been dealt in the past. But there was a lot of sass and funny times to be had throughout the story too. Henry and Lucile add a lot to the story also. You'll have to read or listen to see why they're such an integral part of this story. Very refreshing and heartfelt story totally worth the listen.

Fun, Sassy, Emotional Romance!

Wow, this first book in the Bedtime Reads series has all the feels! It was the perfect mix of funny, sassy, heartbreaking and steamy. Romance author, Vada, rents a cabin from sexy southern bad boy, Ethan, to help with her writers block. Ethan recognizes how uptight Vada is and he knows just how to push all her buttons to help her relax. After a rocky start, these two are burning up the sheets and breaking down all their defenses. This story has a depth I didn't see coming and made me really care for both Vada and Ethan. I also loved the eccentric family members that made this story even more fun.
CJ Bloom, and Joe Arden perfectly captured the love, passion, heartache and quirky nature of this romance. Their intonations and accents really brought this story to life.
I really enjoyed this audio and can't wait to listen to the other books in this series!

Insta-lust with heart

This was my first Kennedy Fox book, but I can assure you it won't be my last. I didn't really know what to expect. I figured it would be a sexy read, and it was, but it was also so much more. I wasn't expecting the emotional side of the story, that kinda hit me out of left field. It made the story so much more powerful than I ever anticipated, I'll be honest, I was shopping while listening and I shed a few tears. It's also funny, I laughed out loud more than a few times. I loved how Kennedy Fox wrote this book, the pacing was on point, not too fast, but also most definitely not a slow burn. If you love insta-lust stories that have heart, this is the book for you. I really liked the cover, I think it's a good representation of Ethan and the beginning of the story. Personally, I'd have liked to have seen the narrators noted on it as well.

I enjoyed these characters, they were such a joy to spend time with. This story had great supporting characters, Nora and Aunt Millie were wonderful additions. They really stood out and gave the story character. Ethan was a great male lead, he had it all; the sexiness, the gruff attitude, the swooniness, and of course, he was the damaged guy that only Vada could make whole, honestly, his backstory is heartbreaking. Thank heavens for Vada. His choice in bed partners before Vada was questionable, I'll admit at one point I was biting my lip hoping the reveal wasn't true...because that would suck, lucky Ethan wasn't a douche. Vava was awesome, I adored her. I wanted to go hang out with her and be her friend. I felt bad that she didn't really have anyone and the reasons for it. She was feisty and smart. She gave as good as she got, which I loved. I liked that she was a writer. She frustrated me a little, but I get she was protecting herself, so that made it alright. The animals were a big part of this story and they were brilliant.

I loved how Ethan and Vada's relationship started and progressed through the story. At times I wasn't sure what was going to happen. I thought the HEA was upon us and then realised the audiobook had over 2 hours to go, that was a WTF moment I can tell you, but, Kennedy Fox is a genius and it worked really well, I was hooked and wondering how and what was going to happen next. The sexy times, to which there are a good few, as you would expect for bedtime reading, were written incredibly well and worked with the story. None of them ever felt forced or out of place. My second WTF moment came when I heard the words 'One Year Later' seriously, I shouted the words, because why? Why would that happen? But, it did happen, and again it worked well for the story, so all is forgiven and I got my HEA. Praise the writing gods!

This dual narration was performed wonderfully by Joe Arden and CJ Bloom, it wasn't a particularly long book, however, I thought they both fit the parts really well and their voices complemented each other, better than I thought they would when I saw their names connected with the audiobook. It was a lovely surprise.

I think this might be my favourite CJ Bloom performance. She really brought Vada to life, she performed her in a way to make the listener connect with her on a level they may not have done while reading the book. Her feelings shone through during the performance and I loved that about it. I really enjoyed her portrayal of the accents and different characters, each one seemed unique and fitting for the character it was for. She also nailed both the sexy and emotional parts of the story.

Joe Arden was the embodiment of Ethan Rochester, at no point did I sit back and think, nope, this voice doesn't fit, he was the character. The inflections and accents used really enhanced the performance and gave each character a distinct sound. Although this book is hot on sexy times, the emotional aspects of this story really shone through and those were the standout moments of Joe's performance for me. Although don't get me wrong, the sexy times were performed, well... sexily, for lack of a better word. JA definitely doesn't disappoint. Lastly, I need to take a second to talk about Joe's southern drawl in this book...swoon, it was fantastic, to this Brit anyway. I'm a sucker for the southern drawl, I'm not gonna lie...the southern drawl is like the English accent to Americans. In other words, it's a swoonfest just waiting to happen. The production was great with no issues that I noted.

This audiobook was published by a new audiobook imprint called AudiOMG! You should definitely look into more of their titles.

AMAZING!

After reading this physical book, I knew I had to pick the audio up! It did not disappoint!

No one get in the way of Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish! They are unstoppable and I am loving every single word they write together. Let’s lock them both away so they can write all the words! I’m joking… kind of.

I love when a story makes you laugh right out of the gate. This book not only did that, but so much more. My Week with the Bad Boy is one heck of a sexy story that once I started, I quickly devoured the entire thing in one sitting.

Ethan and Vada are so much fun. They have met their match with each other. They are both spunky, sarcastic, and confident. They constantly butt heads and don’t get along at first. They called each other out from the get go and wouldn’t let up causing instant tension and chemistry.

While there was plenty of steam, there was also heartbreak and sadness. Ethan is a complicated bad boy with a past that makes him interested in only a one night stand. Nothing more. Then Vada, a city girl, decides to spend a week in the country at his AirBNB to work on the book she’s currently writing. She also has a complicated history, dating loser after loser, and trying to deal with issues from her childhood.

Yes, this story has a touch of insta-love but it was done 100% right! This book is fast paced so while it seems a little like insta-love, I felt like it was so much more. I understand that insta-love isn’t for everyone and a lot of times I have a problem with it as well but this book was everything I was looking for and needed.

The narrator's did an amazing job. Joe Arden and C.J. Bloom do an outstanding job giving life to Ethan Rochester and Vada. I haven't listened to either of these narrators before and I have found a couple new favorites. They have great chemistry and they were completely believable when bringing these characters to life.

Hated To Hear That It's Over Ending

Would you consider the audio edition of Falling for the Bad Boy to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version but I enjoyed this edition so much that I don't know that I want to actually read the book. Especially after coming across the animals and Ethan's aunt.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't think that I can choose between Vada and Ethan so maybe I will have to choose Ethan's aunt Millie. She says what's on her mind and it may be because of her age and that her filter is gone - which is good for us. You can't help but laugh when she appears.

Which character – as performed by Joe Arden and CJ Bloom – was your favorite?

At least with this question I don't have to choose. Joe Arden does a great job with Ethan Rochester. Have to love the innuendos. C.J. Bloom does a great job of bringing Vada to life. Had to love where she was getting her inspiration for her latest work.

Any additional comments?

I loved listening to this book from beginning to end. Our narrators were perfect in bringing the author's work to life. If you've not listened to them before than this will make you a fan. Maybe you live for those happy endings - you've found one here.

I can see myself taking a trip down south, staying at a cottage by the beach, and listening to this book as I feel the ocean breeze skim across my skin. Then when I take a walk I want to keep my eyes open for Millie and Henry. Will also need to see if I can find Ethan's shop - need to bring some of his work home. When I got to the end, I was ready to listen to more of our narrators, and see if there are any more of the Bedtime Reads in audio.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
