Publisher's Summary

Ex-special forces Jacob King is a man who keeps to himself, having learned the hard way that letting people close to you, trusting them, might just get you killed. A lesson he learned when members of his Special Ops team turned dirty while others, men he considered friends, died. He made them pay. He made them hurt. He put them in jail. And so he doesn't trust anyone anymore. He keeps his women hot and fast, his friends few to none, and his clients through the elite Walker Security at a professional distance, but safe. It works for him. Until it doesn't.

His newest job should be simple and cut and dry. Jewel Carpenter, the daughter of the CEO of Carpenter Enterprises, is receiving death threats. He's to protect her and find out who is issuing the threats.

Simple. Cut and dry. Until it's not.

Until the chemistry between him and Jewel is all about love, hate, and sex. But even as he fights the attraction to Jewel and discovers there is more to her than meets the eye, the real threat comes not from the threats she's receiving but from the connection she has to him. Because his past has come full circle, and those men he's made pay for their sins now want him to pay. And what better way than the woman in his bed?

Not so much

What happened?! The other two Falling books were great and the voices were excellent. This one not so much. Story was confusing. The narration was horrible. I almost gave up a few times but kept listening only because it was part of the Walker Brother stories. Please don’t use these two voices again.

Romantic Suspense- A Great Listen!!

I absolutely love Lisa Renee Jones! I can’t believe I waited this long to read her books. This is my third book I’ve read of hers and they just keep getting better and better.
Two of my absolute favorite narrators, Alexander Cendese and Lucy Rivers give a brilliant performance that will blow your mind!
Suspense, passion, steam, and a slow burn love story made this the perfect listen on my commute to work.
I loved how there was a mystery and puzzle to solve and the progression of the story moved at just the right pace. Jules and Jacob were a dynamic duo and were made for each other.
Highly recommend

Very exciting hot romance

This one has lots of amazing intrigue. Loved the two main characters. Great story, however the narrative from Mr Cendese sounded like he recorded in a tunnel or something, it distracted from the story, but not too much. It’s a don’t miss book.

Hot guy, tough girl

Great story, loved the characters. I chose the series because of the male narrator but his attempt at the female voice is really, poor, even cartoonish. Overall I'd still reccomend the series.

Couldn’t finish it.

Normally, I can ignore the voices and inflections of the narrators. Not this time. They made it unbearable to continue listening. As much as I love all of Lisa Renee Jones’ other books, I just couldn’t with this one.

Awful readers. Great series, too bad about this one

This is like the sixth book in a series. I was really looking forward to listening to it, but by the first chapter I knew I wouldn’t make it through listening to it, I would have to read it.

The woman is super stiff in her reading, so monotone it makes me want to stop listening and go read the book.

The man’s voice, who I’ve heard before and really like, sounds like he called it in, literally. The sound quality is awful.

Thank goodness this was a free book included in my romance package because I’m deleting it from my library before I even finish the book.

All the others I’ve given at least a four Star review. I don’t know why they decided to change the readers so drastically but the author should have it re-done.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved this story, and I loved the voices of Lucy Rivers and Alexander Cendese, they were perfect. Their voices fit the characters. I have read all of the Walker Security books, they are sexy, fun with a lot of loyalty. I love that they have a little suspense to them as well.
