Nebraska born and bred Navy SEAL Calvin "Coop" Cooper, after his own family has perished in a tornado, is ordered to meet the family of a prominent San Diego psychiatrist. The doctor's brother is a fallen SEAL medic who died in Grenada. There, Cooper meets Libby Brownlee, the beautiful niece of this fallen hero. Heavily influenced by her father, "We don't speak military here," is her comment about the military in general, and the SEAL community in particular. What starts out as a frosty debate between two people privately dealing with their own personal grief, turns into a passionate affair neither expected. Just as Cooper realizes perhaps Libby is the woman he's always been looking for, she is snatched out from under him by a psychopathic killer bent on revenge. Dr. Brownlee is forced to rely on Cooper's help, along with his buddies in SEAL Team 3. Will Cooper be able to survive the loss of the woman he loves, or will his self sacrifice be enough to keep her safe?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook because of the narrator, J. D. Hart. He is exceptional with dialects and he makes sure that you can distinguish each character that is speaking during the story.

Would you be willing to try another book from Sharon Hamilton? Why or why not?

Yes. I like this author and she does a good job in describing our active SEAL team members and their dedication to our country. Her plots are smooth and offers insights into all of the characters whether they are main characters or secondary characters.

What does J. D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The dialects of some of the other SEAL team members I would not be able to "hear" in my head while reading their dialogue.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

SEAL Team 3 to the rescue.

What did you like best about Fallen SEAL Legacy? What did you like least?

The story line had good possibilities but fell short. They would fight and the next second they'd but back together and then they'd fight and the cycle would continue.

Would you ever listen to anything by Sharon Hamilton again?

No I really thought I would enjoy this but was really disappointed. If there is another on sale I may give it another try but it would have to be a 3.95.

Have you listened to any of J. D. Hart’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Never listen to but he did a good job.

Not as good as reviews said

The story is ok and the sex is there but it the people. who are the problem.

The Psychiatrist in this story is so unbelievable and dumb that it totally distracted from whole story. No one with any psych or counseling training would act like this. The heroine is suppose to be working on her Master's Degree in Counseling and she shows same inability to understand people or their motivations. At times they lack common sense.

Characters unbelievable.

I was excited for this book. Really Cooper was intriguing in the first book. He had that whole delicious bad boy thing going on, yummy player! Her definitely loves up to that in the first chapter. Way to start things of smexy!!

Cooper is an interesting guy and has loads of potential. It just feels rushed in the beginning. I never connected with his loss because it did not have time develop. Perhaps giving him more emotional connection would have helped. Even though he had lost his whole family, there was a major disconnect.

Libby is the kind of girl I usually like to read. She starts off with spunk and appears very strong. She seemed to fall off as the story progressed. I wanted her to stay that kick butt girl who broke a guys finger. That is a gal who could take care of herself. I also felt like she never dealt with her feelings about the situation with her mentor. She had moments where it felt like she was coming to terms with the incident, other times she acted like it never even happened.

The mixed narrative is great because you get into each character's head. The change of POV is very easy to follow and adds to the story. You get more than just Libby and Coop, there are a variety of supporting characters that offer a different narrative. This really helps the reader feel more engaged in the action.

There is a lot going on in this book. The story moves in many different directions, a reader really needs to stay on their toes to keep up. I was not surprised by the stalker, it was kind of right there from the start, even with all the possible curve balls thrown into the plot. While all the plot points were interesting they really seemed to pile up on top of each other. It felt like story overload, perhaps a touch of editing to reign things in would be suggested in the future.

There are connection in all of these books, we see carry over of the side story in the first book. Fredo and his love of Mia, Armando dealing with the family drama, and of course Mia being a world class brat. I get that this spill over is meant to lead me into the next book in the series. It just felt like a distraction from the main plot.

I listened to the audiobook and was once again very pleased with narrator J.D. Hart's performance. He has a yummy deep tone with just a touch of rasp. His speed is just right, I like the faster readers especially in action books. His women's voices are better this time. Far less whiny. All the voices were distinct ad easy to identify. He is a real compliment to the series and made the listening smooth. Once again there was a technique incorporated that made the messages and radio portions sound farther away.

The steamy parts are yummy!! That Cooper really knows how to get down and dirty!! Things progress quickly, but I am okay with that, especially when the characters have chemistry. These two a combustible!! Wickedly delightful to listen to, sigh, that man gives good ears!!

I am really interested in the series and seeing where things are going. There are many unresolved issues with Armando's plot. The last two books have been a big build up for his book. They were each interesting and enjoyable reads, I just felt like they were filled with bits leading to his eventual HEA. I hope it doesn't disappoint. He has been through a lot and that family dynamic is sure to give him fits.

Would you listen to Fallen SEAL Legacy again? Why?

Yes I would definitely listen to this book again. I was intrigued by Coopers character when we met him in book 1. I liked he was still presented as a down to earth guy with simple roots. He was charming in is own way , had a big heart and loved his toys.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fallen SEAL Legacy?

The most memorable moment for me was when Cooper realized he needed Libby in his life. He had been fighting his feelings for her racking up the reasons he should not be in her life when he realized he could not imagine living life without her.

What does J. D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

J.D. Hart gives each character a distinct personality based on his voice overs. When you read a book your subconscious attaches specific ideals for each character that may or may not be how the writer saw them when they imagined them. By listening to someone with a pleasant voice who goes out of their way to make the book come alive while reading you can experience the readers vision for each character adding additional enjoyment and another point of view.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

yes, there were several places that had me chuckling, especially the inner dialogue when Cooper makes comments to Libby's dad in his head. You can't help but laugh as you imagine his reaction to those unspoken statements.

Any additional comments?

So far Coopers story is my favorite. I spent a lot of time telling my kindle who the bad guy was and asking why they could not see it. I also had to say I told you so at the end when he was finally caught.
