Great read to understand the perils of Vietnam

This book was perfect for helping me understand what the boys/men in Vietnam went through. The characters and their stories felt so real to me. I could not imagine being 18 years old and sent off to fight in this war. The book will intrigue you, make you laugh, and also make you cry.

Great Book! The Narrator is great!

This book is great by itself from its action packed story to lots of sad losses this book has it all. The narrator is also great he does very good voices to accommodate the story. Overall this audio book is great and it is a must read.

One of the classics!

This book had everything there was action, drama, and brotherly love. The book gave an inside look at what goes through the hearts and minds of soldiers when they are in battle and the close bonds that they make that can never be broken.

Found it

There is nothing more unsatisfying to me then not finishing a book. I started this book in high school, but transferred before I finished. My new school didnt have it, neither did the local libraries. This book has haunted me for yrs lol I am so excited

Decent

Overall fairly good nothing spectacular nothing revolutionary but the characters were consistent the story did deviate you could feel somewhat relatable but not so much that you became the character if you want a fairly short read for a vacation or trip on a plane I’d recommend this will I re read it probably not but I thought it was worth the time to listen to.
