Publisher's summary

In Isabella Austin Evangelista's life miracles never happen...she knows she's destined to be the princess who's stuck in the middle of a fairytale where there will be no happily ever after. Once upon a time, Prentice Cameron loved Isabella Austin until he discovered she was a spoiled, rich girl who spent her summers toying with his heart.

Life led Prentice to his own fairytale, the love of the full-of-life Fiona Sawyer. That being so, that fairytale was torn away when Fiona died of a brain tumor leaving Prentice with a house to keep clean, piles of laundry to be done, a business to run and two children who were getting tired of takeaway.

But Isabella comes back to Prentice's tiny fishing town and she sweeps into his children's lives like a beautiful, well-dressed fairy godmother who bakes exquisite chocolate cakes and gives the perfect manicure to six-year-old girls. Then Prentice finds out Isabella's soul destroying secrets, secrets that explain why she left him so many years ago.

Fiona, stuck in her village and forced to haunt her family and watch Prentice and Isabella's crazy dance, finds the impossible happening. She's cheering for Bella and Prentice to rekindle their love. Then she finds out why she's caught in her heartbreaking haunting and discovers she must embrace her magic and keep Bella safe or Bella's fairytale will never come true.

Fairytale Come Alive

It took me a little bit to get into, but once I finally did I was hooked.

Isabella has a tyrant for a father. Not only was he physically but also mentally abusive. And just when she thought she was going to get out from under his thumb because she had fallen madly in love with Prentice. Well, things happened.

Years later Isabella and Prentice are reunited but it isn’t a happy occasion at all. And boy oh boy do sparks fly not all good ones either.

Prentice feel betrayed by Bella, he can’t stand to look at her but she is in his life now for a short time so he decides to make the most of it.
Prentice’s children are grieving the loss of their mother, and have taken a liking to Bella. This does not make Prentice happy at all.

This book was so well written, and even though it took me a little time to get into the story when I did like I said hooked I couldn’t stop.

I warmed up to the narration it isn’t my favorite narrator but she isn’t bad enough that I didn’t enjoy the story. I just have to get used to the way she narrates is all.

The most beautiful story ever told....

Any additional comments?

I read this book last year and it brought tears to eyes. Every moment was etch in my heart and it never failed to bring out a range of emotions, and I stress the TEARY parts. When I noted that there wasn't an audible version, I was upset because I wanted to hear this beautiful novel being read back to me. However, I was also afraid that the reader would not be able to bring it to justice because it was that beautiful.

Boy was I wrong. Aby Craden was the only person I could ever imagine to bring this book and it's unforgettable characters to life. She breath life into each and every words. Last night, as i was listening, pulling an all nighter, my pillows was soaked in tears by the time the sunshined through my windows.

I recommend this story for anyone looking for a romance that is poignant, emotional, and best of all unforgettable. I know that even though I've read this novels many times over (20+) since I discovered it last year, and now was granted the wish of listening to it being performed by an amazing artist, it will be a staple on my kindle and audible app forever so I can pull it up whenever I need a reminder that love conquers all.

A beautiful story

I cried from the beginning to the end. I loved this book. I think this is one of KA's best, heart wrenching with a very happy ending.

Excellent

I read this years ago. I recently got the audible version which is absolutely wonderful. As I like to do, I read as I listen and realized I never reviewed this book.

If you enjoy cookie cutter romance, this one isn't for you. This romance is much more than romance interrupted then they get back together. There is background story (without a lot of chapters in between dating back years) done well within the story. There is mystery interwoven as to why it happened the way it did. There is lots of story after they end up in bed when they get back together. There is an epilogue that will warm the heart and brought tears to my eyes (the happy kind). Such an epically good book. So Kristen Ashley. There is some supernatural ghost qualities that don't go along with my beliefs of when you die but this is a story and it isn't the main theme and it's done with love. Do yourself a big favor, read this and get the audible version. Whispersync is great. The narrator does an excellent job. It truly enhances the story.

Best in Series so far

I’m impressed that the author could take this story on a journey from where it started to where it ended. Yes, it’s another modern love story with a supernatural twist. The ghost of Prentice Cameron’s wife Fiona looks on when Isabelle Austin Evangelista comes back to town for her friend’s wedding. Fiona hates Elle until she doesn’t; when she can find out the secrets Elle doesn’t show or tell anyone else. Surprisingly creative and more enjoyable than I could have ever guessed from where the story started. Based on the Publisher’s Summary, this looked to be the least interesting of the five books in the series but turned out to be my fave of the first four. On to Lucky Stars - I bought these as ebooks with additional audio through Amazon.

Craden does a very decent job of narration with this story.
The editing was a bit sloppy with many duplicate sentences.

Fantastic

Great story. Kristen Ashley is the queen. Plus I thoroughly enjoyed the narration of Abby Craden. Her Scottish accent is wonderful esp when she speaks in a little girl voice for Sally.

Awesome

Would you listen to Fairytale Come Alive again? Why?

Yes, I love the way all the characters were portrayed especially Sally. Sally stole my heart.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fairytale Come Alive?

The whole book was great!

What about Abby Craden’s performance did you like?

I liked how she was able to give each character their own voice. I don't know if she nailed the highlander accent but it sounded wonderful to me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I almost did aside from the last 2 hours.

Any additional comments?

I originally read this book in June 2012 and I was so excited when I discovered it was coming out on audible because it was like reading (listening to) it again for the first time. I'll definitely be listening to it again.

2nd best of the series. The First was best……

It was difficult at first hearing voices of both Fiona and Elle switch back and forth but i got used it eventually. I loved the 2nd chance love and how both children, when grown, had the opportunity to “see” their beloved mother once again. This book pulls at your “heartstrings” and gives you all of the “feels”. As always, i love KA’s books and am also a fan of the narrator, AC. Have one more book in the series to read……cant wait.
