Publisher's Summary

A terrifyingly gripping thriller of East End violence and corruption.

Eleven years ago Marie Carter was convicted of killing her two best friends. And she's paid the price. Now she is being released from prison. It's time to go home. But life has moved on, and Marie has nowhere to go. Her parents have disowned her; her friends have abandoned her; even her kids don't want to know.

But some people out there are watching her, following her every move - they know that Marie Carter wants retribution.

A great listen for all

If you could sum up Faceless in three words, what would they be?

hard-hitting, realistic, addictive

What was one of the most memorable moments of Faceless?

The shocking twist at the end of the book will leave you reeling

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The moment when Maria finds out the shocking family secret.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Tiffany passes away, I felt genuine grief.

Any additional comments?

This book is a must read for anyone who loves books with twist and turns in every chapter. This book had me addicted, from the first chapter.
Martina's writing takes you into a world that's filled with betrayal, violence which doesn't always make for an easy read.

Good book

Would you listen to Faceless again? Why?

Yes and have done already. It's a good story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marie Carter. She's a great character

Which character – as performed by Annie Aldington – was your favourite?

All of the Southern characters are Annie's best. I can't say I like the Northern accents.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. I did really enjoy the story though.

Surprising

I really enjoyed this. It was part of book club and I wasn’t convinced but I liked it. Although I could see where it was going I was pleased I didn’t mind. The performance was excellent. Good read.

Unexpected twists & good narration

I’ve accidentally heard this twice now. Once borrowed from the library then again on audible. Enjoyed it both times :)
