I am on Chapter 8 I hope this story gets better because all Cass is doing is whining about Leila like she’s better or whatever… She making like she better but she has 0 confidence in her abilities to perform and write yet she brags about being the writers of all the duo’s lyrics.,.
God please!!!

Does it get better

This was my first time reading a book by Sophia Quintero and I think she did an excellent job. Especially with the "Me Too' movement we have going on now, this book gives us an in-depth look at how the music industry is very similar to what was happening in Hollywood and most likely still is. I like that Cassie was a strong individual and knew when to keep her mouth shut and just listen. She was an "Angel with a Dirty Face" and G Double D called her and she lived up to her name. The narrator helped with the portrayal of the two young ladies and she did an excellent job. I didn't feel the book was too predictable and kept me on the edge of my seat. Two thumbs up. I'll be listening to more from this author.

I love that this book isn’t your typical hood novel but it’s not what I expected. I’m still listening but so far, Casey’s character is confusing and contradictory. For her to be as smart as she is she keeps making the dumbest decisions and it’s making me not want to finish. I’m going to stick it out but the way the characters go from being smart, quick witted, and assertive to meek and timid is throwing me.

Not what I expected

This book is good. The story is relevant to the world now. I am pretty sure that all kinds of shady drama happens in the music industry now. The story is well written and kept my interest. Good job!!
