He tried to ignore them. He wanted to be "normal." But as he pursued his singing gift at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, his psychic gift pressed for a hearing. As Philipps gave readings as a psychic medium, witnessing the comfort the spirits offered, he came to accept and honor his abilities.

With testimonies from many people, Expect the Unexpected is an honest firsthand account of how spirits communicate with Philipps, why he believes they chose him to do this, and how he works with them to ultimately convey their messages. I will now be expecting the unexpected

Bill is a truly gifted human. I recently went to see him and decided to read this book. The audio version was best fit for my schedule. I loved it - the experiences from others who had seen him along with the messages Bill wanted to get through throughout the book were all so beautiful. We think we are alone but we have those around us that we are unable to see who always wish the best for us and are guiding us in our journey. I look forward to diving in to his other book, signs from the other side.

Comfort, Healing, and Hope

Love the scaffolding in Bills book, cushioned and supported by heart touching anecdotes. Bill does an excellent job of breaking down his gift and has a story (or 10) to come along side each point he is conveying. All while answering the questions we didn’t know we had, and building up to “Why him?, Why not him?, and eventually, Why not you?” I have been a believer in signs for quite some time, but after the passing of my grandmother, which has been extremely difficult, I needed to be surrounded by some comfort and reassurance. Bill did just that as well as the narrator Bob with his comforting cadence and soothing tone. Thank you both and to all of the unsung heroes backing this production.

Extremely informative

This book was extremely well written. Bill explained his life developing his gift, the trials & tribulations accepting this gift, and what exactly goes on in his mind as the spirits push for their turn to speak. The narrator, Bob Souer, has a delightfully soothing voice. His enunciation and enthusiasm with words is the best I've heard. Anxious to start Bill's 2nd book.

The next world

Good Book gave me hope that i will be with my murdered son again. He has given me signs. I believe even more now

Great perspective …

I especially enjoyed Bill’s explanation of how he learned from his mistakes and improved his responses to his clients. His preparation and meditation seemed simple and easier than most and his delivery of the spirit’s messages seemed spot on!

I had a crazy child hood as well thank you for sharing your up hill road and being so happy and showing how you can have peace even when life isn’t a fairytale. God has always been in my heart even before someone told me about him...but My life is opening up so much with all the new info of spirit and angles and now the signs I’ve always seen make so much since . Wonderful Book

Loved this book. Very uplifting and profound to hear the unbroken connection we have with loved ones.

A Continuing Validation

I believe that this life isn't the end, or a beginning, but more of an experience that my soul seeks for my overall spiritual growth. I don't consider myself a medium but feel I am someone who seems to be in touch with the Other Side...feelings of another presence at times, visions of those I've known as my physical life progresses.

This book helps to validate some of these continuing interests I have of the Other Side, feelings of familiarity, deja-vu and a sense of confidence that who I am today isn't just from the experiences I've had in this life. Much of what Bill Phillips writes in this book aligns with what I have personally experienced, physically and emotionally, as I understand how the Other Side exists.

I would recommend it for those who seek a similar validation, it's written in more layman terms as well and, even though this is my first connection with this author, he seems very genuine, and honest. I hope to possibility experience a reading of his, would be very interesting to see who comes through. I'm pretty sure I know who would, that confirmation would be a very pleasant experience, and of course, highly entertaining for me. 😁
