Publisher's Summary

From number-one Essence best-selling author K’wan comes the next installment in his best-selling Hood Rat series.

Porsha, the ghetto princess; Sahara, the scandalous baby mama; Frankie, a.k.a. Francine, the con artist: these three girls live in one apartment and are into all kinds of hood foolishness while having fun—until the day they find an eviction notice taped to their door. Now they have 72 hours to come up with all the money they owe in months of back rent.

Of course Don B. is still up to his old tricks with Big Dawg Ent. and is trying to find an artist to replace Animal. He comes across Lord Scientific, a rapper from Newark who proves to be much more than even Don B. can handle. Meanwhile, the police and Gucci are still searching for Animal, and they’ll uncover something about him and his abduction that no one was prepared for.

Critic Reviews

“The big draw here is the electric prose, which is imbued with profane, comic lyricism." ( Publishers Weekly)

ADDICTED!!!!!!

I'm not a SPOILER, so all I can say, without telling EVERYTHING, the HOOD RAT series is AWESOME!! It's better than the Soap Operas.
Animal may be a , well anyway, I'm so ADDICTED and can't wait to till I start the next book.
I'm wondering why, Love and Gunplay, was not listed under the HOOD RAT series?
Anyway, I'm reading Love and Gunplay, next sense it's like a PREQUEL to EVICTION NOTICE.

Let’s dance!

II think ima go ahead and state this as my favorite hood rat book. This mug ran my blood pressure up but I enjoyed the characters and plot so well that I intentionally prolonged the read. I just didn’t want it to end. We meet 3 new hood rats, Sahara, Frankie, and Porsha. They find themselves staring at an eviction notice and time is not on their side. The trio set out to come up with their portion to prevent being homeless. Desperate times, y’all, desperate times! Some popular hood rats from a previous book show up in this book but they happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time smh. Now somebody gotta answer for that
