For me, this was a nice condensed refresher of the South Beach Diet program. I have read the book twice and this was a simple easy to listen to overview.

Pleasing voice. Authoritative, yet friendly. Pleasing to listen to. Not simply one monotone voice.

This is a nice, easy to listen to explanation of the South Beach Diet. I have read the book twice and found this a good refresher. I would not recommend this as a replacement for the original book. This was good to have in audio format. Easy to listen to and be reminded of what South Beach is all about. I am glad to have this on audio and will listen to it whenever I need a reminder of the plan basics. It is only 23 minutes, so I can easily listen to it in the car. I have been doing the plan for some time and find that over time I get lax in some areas. I think this audiobook will also help me on track and motivated when I am longing something that is not part of phase 2. Mr. Norgaard's has a good voice for this instructional audio book. He maintains a good pace which is always a big positive for me.

The audiobook Everything You Wanted to Know About the South Beach Diet by J.D. Rockefeller, Narrated by Mike Norgaard is jam-packed with useful information! It is only 23 minutes long, but every second of that 23 minutes is filled to the brim with lists, tips, advice, and guidance to help you successfully implement this new lifestyle. I wanted to learn more about the different diets out there, and I thought I would start with this one. I was excited to see it is on audio, well, because I love audiobooks. It gives the sense of having your own personal coach next to you helping you along your journey. Everything is explained to a tee! J.D. Rockefeller did not miss a beat. Each of the phases of the diet are explained with a given timeframe, list of foods, sample recipes, and even exercise tips! The book is very well organized, allowing no room for confusion. At the end, the main points are again reviewed, just to make sure the listener knows what steps to take next. This diet sounds fairly easy to follow, and being that the book is short, it does not overwhelm, like some books can. I can easily access this information again and again if necessary. Because it is broken up into chapters, I will easily be able to find the answers to any questions I have or review points I may have forgotten as time goes on!
Narrator, Mike Norgaard clearly expresses each of the phases of the South Beach Diet in an easy to understand manner. His voice, volume, and tone are perfect for this book. The way he explains everything makes me feel like he is my guide or coach in this South Beach journey! His confident presentation of the material makes me feel like this is something I definitely can do! His voice is pleasant, firm, kind, and controlled. This isn't the first time I have listened to his work, either. I love how he presents information to listeners, which is why I continue to choose books narrated by him . His consistency throughout is what makes people buy-in to what is being presented. I have to say he is probably my favorite narrator for this genre (all types of non-fiction).
I rate this audiobook 5/5 stars. Although the book is short, if you are serious about wanting to make the South Beach Diet your new lifestyle, it is well worth the credit! I would much rather have an easy to understand 23 minute audiobook that I can easily return to, than read a 300-page book that goes on and onnnnn about the same exact information presented here. It is very well organized and it is filled with useful information. I definitely recommend this book to others, like myself, who are interested in learning about ways to drop a few pounds and lead a more healthy life!
