• Summary

  • Despite what the world will have us believe Leadership is not about position or title, leadership is about the decisions and choices we make and ultimately it starts with how we lead ourselves everyday. How we deal with the difficulties, challenges, ups and downs that arise both personally and professionally and how we respond to them. Far too often we only see the end result, not the whole process which is why the podcast always starts with an origin story of my guest before we discuss topics such as business, culture, inclusion, equity, marriage and faith demonstrating leadership and explanations of how you can develop your leadership.

“I’ve been here the whole time. I know who I am, and who I am not. It’s important for my identity, to walk with that knowing, so that people do not put their projections or assumptions on me”

Do you know yourself in all moments? Can you see the unwavering version of yourself, regardless of who is looking or talking to you?

As the spotlight on mental health becomes brighter, with news and insight like never before, it might actually feel a bit overwhelming. But one thing that is consistent in all this knowledge, is the focus on knowing and understanding yourself.

In this week's episode, I am joined by Nova Nicole as we discuss the compass of life. As we try to navigate life, we are always looking for that north point, yet many of us have a big misunderstanding of what that point is. Guess what....it’s us!

You’ll hear unparalleled perspectives that provide the points to look back to yourself and confidently find your north point.

“People need time, and space, for just reacting….to be able to think and process, before moving”

As spoken about in the last episode, change is inevitable and the one thing that is consistent in all life. Knowing this can help us navigate life, not get too attached and try to stay adaptable. But we don’t really talk about the steps that are needed for successful change.

Patience, time, and even mourning can provide the understanding and the smaller steps you can take to move towards this greater change. In today's Everday Leadership short, hear the alternative side of thriving on change, and how you can find the balance with the inevitable.

    Some topics discussed:

    • The Struggles of Change: Lack of Clarity and Communication
    • The Reality of change: the good and the bad
