Publisher's summary

If you want to overcome and conquer all your fears, stress, and mental hurdles related to podcasting, then keep reading.

Over half of all podcasters fail within six months - isn’t that crazy? As you already know, podcasting is a brilliant medium and can be a lot of fun. However, podcasting isn't always smooth-sailing; there are hurdles that we all encounter throughout our journey. Have you ever felt helpless, drained of motivation, and left asking yourself, “Is this really worth it?"

You might be on the verge of launching your show or, maybe, you already have - but you find yourself worrying that you'll never have people on the other side listening. Moreover, to shamelessly self-promote feels criminally embarrassing, and the thought of having to grasp the ins and outs of editing makes you feel incapable of ever being a "real podcaster".

In Every Podcaster’s Biggest Hurdles, you will discover:

  • Why more than half of all podcasters end up failing after the first six months
  • The five highly proven techniques to immediately eliminate paralysis by analysis
  • How to shut up your self-doubt, once and for all
  • The asset you have as a podcaster that you’ve been neglecting this whole time
  • How to harness your fear of failing and use it as a driving force to your success
  • How to get rid of your impostor’s syndrome
  • Why the majority of podcasters try to solve their problems in the completely wrong way

Every Podcaster’s Biggest Hurdles dissects all of the above and more in a clearly laid out plan which you can follow to get over the things holding you back on your podcasting journey - even if you have only one listener and are on the verge of giving up, or you’ve already found success but seem to be burning out or feeling the pressure.

So, if you want to commit to your passion with the confidence of not failing a few months down the line, you should listen to this audiobook.

"Podcasting made Easier"?

That might be a more apropos title for this work. I really enjoyed the writing style and content. Being a podcaster myself - someone in my family bought this for me as a resource. While I don't suffer from any of the issues listed in this book, I did find it interesting listening none-the-less. I think the most important point I took away from this book for podcasters, and perhaps for life in general, is "just do it". (Although those words weren't used expressly) It's a sense of getting over yourself and just creating, and then just keep on creating. Every day, week, month, year and eventually the tide will turn and you'll be staring down the face of success! (whatever that looks like to you). I'm happy to recommend this book for any/all upcoming podcasters.

Confidence Creator

I've realized that the main key behind Podcasting overall, is confidence. Which, unfortunately, I wasn't programmed with. I've realized it was the very thing holding me back in pursuing my Podcasting career. Listening to the author has really taught me how to build true confidence, how to maintain, and even increase my confidence to really 10X my new Podcasting business.

Better cope with feelings of failure.

This audiobook was a real confidence builder for me in developing my podcasting brand. No longer am I plagued with that nagging fear of failure or whether or not I’m resonating with my audience. I found that the author’s encouraging comments throughout the audiobook have helped me re-kindle a certain level of motivation to continue sharing my passion with others.

Don't start a podcast until you listen to this

I have a few friends who started their podcasts recently. This piqued my interests in starting a podcast of my own to help improve my speaking skills. My favorite part of this audiobook is chapter 3 where it addresses the imposter syndrome. I think Larson was very true. One of my friends who started the podcast about relationship. He was definitely not an expert in relationship nor did he study psychology. However, he was able to garner over 200+ subscribers because he was so passionate about helping people improve their relationship with the people around them that it makes the listeners attracted to his show. The book also contains other useful advice that I think it is worth listening for people who are getting into the podcast or already started a podcast.

The Right Push to get Started!

I have been thinking about starting a podcast for a good year. This audiobook hit the nail right on the head for me. I was constantly making excuses and putting off. But this audiobook has put me in the right mindset to get started on my first podcast.

The practical proven solutions were great but I will let you listen to them without spoiling!

Will definitely check out the author's other book for sure!

Another great listen for podcasters

I recently listened to another podcasting audiobook by this author (called “Podcasting Made Simple”), so I was excited to try this one out as well. I’m not sure if the two books belong to a formal series or anything, but they are most definitely related.

That first book talks about the core strategies behind getting a podcast off the ground, while this one focuses more on the mindset required for such a process. As it mentions, putting our content out there for all to see is a scary thing. It can even cause us to get in our heads or fall prey to “analysis by paralysis.” Overcoming such hurdles, as the title suggests, is what this audiobook helps listeners accomplish.

It provides many helpful strategies and perspective-changing outlooks. It’s also a great source of foundational and inspirational knowledge to keep you going in spite of some of the risks and fears associated with putting your own content out there. Creators and podcasters, definitely give this one a listen.

Simply.... WOW

This is by far the best Podcast advice available on the market. I have many friends that do Podcast and I have just recommended this audiobook to them. It does not matter how experienced or inexperienced we are with our Podcast Shows, this will be able to make you gain experience, motivation, confidence, and will help a pro fine and tune their own Podcasts. It is definitely a 5-Star across the board review for me. Hear it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Great job Larson!

Informative Resource on Podcasting

I came across this audiobook “Every Podcaster's Biggest Hurdles: Get Over Your Paralysis by Analysis, Impostor’s Syndrome and All Your Other Podcasting Hurdles Through Deep Understanding and Practical Proven Solutions”, which is great because I was interested to have a title on podcasting for business. With this audiobook I am also able to have a resource on a deeper look on how to make it work with podcasting. The lesson on how to get rid of your impostor’s syndrome is one that stood out to me.
