Plot thickens

The saga between Hailey and Bryan continues on and I have to say, it’s ten times better than the 1st book. The relationship truly took a big turn and it did became very emotional and heartfelt kind of story. I guess once you know what you know about in the 1st book, you get into it. I do love how flawed the characters are, how beautifully written about their love issues & how this could be realistic behaviors/feelings about family’s trust or growth. With 2 broken hearts, they were in such tough situations to keep going forward throughout their lives & trying to do so, without being with each other. I was very invested in the plot as well in their relationship. The 1st book, I did not see any chemistry but I think the narrators had a way to make me believe in their love, in this book. I have, to say, Hugo Locke & Kaylee Sinclair did phenomenal voice acting & crossing fingers that they do the rest of this series because they manage to put the characters up to par!

Very emotional!

As Bryan continues dealing with the news Hailey gave him, it looks like he is just going to continue to spiral. Unable to deal with the death of his brother, he turns to alcohol. Hailey gets a push from her sister Anna and now Bryan and Hailey are back on speaking terms. But is it enough? Will they find their way back to each other? As Drew drops another bombshell onto Bryan’s life, decisions have to be made. Business, grief and love, all things we can relate to and understand, we get to live and feel the problems this couple is going through. It’s real and full of emotion, pulling my heart into their life. I am invested in the outcome and with the incredible cliffhanger Lexy Timms left us with, I will be patiently awaiting the next audio!

The narration of this book brings out all the emotion making it a listen that is hard to forget. Hugo Locke as Bryan is fantastic. He delves into the mind of this troubled character and creates a personality that is broken, and full of feelings. Kaylee Sinclair brings Hailey to life. Her voice is perfect for a new adult story and she finds all the facets of Hailey. This is a good team and is cast perfectly for this series.

GREAT SERIES!

I am really enjoying this series. There was plenty of drama, suspense and romance! The plot thickens and makes you impatient to find out what is next. The narration was great and kept me entertained. The author did a great job with the character builds and plot. I can't wait to read the next book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
