It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

ONLY GETS BETTER & BETER! BOOK 12, PLEASE!!!
I cannot get enough of this series! The nonstop, explicative graphic zombie action is nothing less than electric!
After listening to every book in this series to date, I feel like I know each character personally. I am in awe at Tufo's ability to so masterfully develop numerous strong characters in a way which makes it effortless for the listener to become emotionally invested in each one, friends and foes alike. It goes without saying, that Henry and his posse are revered!
The nonstop humor, (often during horrific situations) is mesmerizing! Sometimes I am terrified during a life and death situation which is happening, and then Talbot, Mrs. Deneaux, or BT will do or say something so hysterical, & off-the-cuff that I am then falling out of my seat laughing so hard it hurts. (Sending extra props to Henry, who steals the show with his riotous antics)
Talbot uses humor as a coping mechanism to help keep him going under such horrific, unimaginable circumstances. I SO get it! Sometimes if you don't laugh, you'll cry. The humor keeps them going. With all their losses and hardships, I say bring on the yuks!
Psyched to find out what happens with the Talbot clan, and their handful of vengeful haters in book 12!
Thanks, for another reality busting ride, Mr. Tufo!

I haven't laughed this hard in so long....
I had forgotten how awesome it is to read fresh ZF. I just honestly think Mark Tufo is at his funniest in this series. And as much as I love rereading them reading it for the first time....oh my! It's so great. I know people think I'm crazy laughing so hard. Reading these books honestly make my life better, they just help me blow off steam.
It's another great zombie book by Mark Tufo. What more can I say?

Another 5 star book and performance
I’ve listened to every book in and related to this story / character. Simply put... its amazing. Normally, some choice expletives would need to be used to describe the pure awesomeness, but I think you get the idea. If you’ve read the previous installations, you already know you need to read/ listen to this one. But if you haven’t, start from the beginning and enjoy the rich characters, the hilarious adventures, and the sad moments that come with every great story set in the zombie apocalypse. While I don’t know the author personally, I’ve travelled some similar paths after he was there, and supporting him is the main reason I even pay for audible. Cheers Mark. Thanks for keeping the story so enjoyable. Can’t wait for more!

More “witty” banter
14 hours of back and forth. Over engineered story telling. Needless dialog. The story is about 5 books long in the tooth. The story is written with a drama club schtick. The mindless “oh you” moments grate on the listener.

Disappointing & Done
So we became the hugest Tufo fans with ZF 0.5 -10.. practically drooling for 11.. it started out great.. then.. as if Tufo had an epiphany and realized he has us all hooked.... that he could milk this series for many more books, and subsequently many more book sales he just started filling in with the fluff.. like when you're a kid and you have to reach that mandatory 500 words so you start using full words instead of contractions type of thing.. There were parts that didn't make sense and droned on and on.. Then is was just over .. We all agreed that at the point the audio ended is where we usually find ourselves after two to three hours of listening. There was just so much "fluff" and "space filler". We have purchased and listened to all of Zombie Fallout which prior to this book is amazing, United State of Apocalypse , Timothy 1-3 (just too crude and sadistic), Callis Rose (excellent book), Indian Hills 1-7 (Runnette made this series tolerable), Book of Riley 1-5 (again Runnette saves the day), and Marks Mayhem, Had Lycan Fallout, Demon Fallout and Dystance all set to purchase ... I dunno.. maybe Zombie Fallout 0.5 -10 was his shining moment.. Like I said we are/were avid Tufo fans.. after this we are taking a break and moving on to other authors. The hard part is going to be Sean Runnette .. he seriously spoils you .. making most all other audio performances intolerable in comparison.

ON MY SECOND LISTEN NOW!! BRAVO MR TUFO!!!!!!!
Oh wow..this one is thrilling and heartbreaking and so much info to digest...that I am totally blown away at its brilliance!!! Mike and his family really go through it here...We get a visit from some oldie but goodie characters...one of my faves! We get a few answers and get taken on a very intense journey....I dont know how Mark does it, but he just continues to get better and better...his style and characters just keep developing into something that is unique and so engaging that you just can not put his books down once you start them!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND....ALL OF TUFO'S WORK!!! CANT WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT ONE!!!!

Rants
overall story was good, but sometimes it feels like Mike rants too much. it's great for character building but it gets annoying at times when the story starts picking up then Mike extinguishes the build up by having a 5-10 min rant in between.

A bit whinning
a bit repetitive on this "horrible image will be burn in to his memory for all eternity". And that last epilogue, was it thrown in to get your word count up? I hope this is his last book to this series. I've enjoy Tufo's books over the years but he need to let this series die rather than it become a rotting decomposing zombie that just won't die.

Really weak story with a bad ending
Story starts off ok and deals with a human villain that offers no real challenge or threat and nothing new or even believable as to why the villain cares so much about Mike. The return of Payne was interesting but that went nowhere too and the ending was an abrupt... Nothingness with no resolution and no direction on what is coming next. This book was the weakest of the series so far.

Love the series, but I still think he's rambling!
I'm a pretty die hard Fallout fan, but between books 10 & 11 Mike's flashbacks, random tangents, and overall irrelevant inner dialogue has become a bit... much. Don't get me wrong, I love how random his thought process can be. I just think there's a fine line between witty humor regarding a particular situation, and rambling about nothing as we pause between two action EVERY FEW SECONDS. I'd grow increasingly more impatient with every side story from childhood...
Definitely NOT a reason not to read. Still very much so a happy Fallout addict. Just want more action in the NOW and maybe shorter or fewer childhood anecdotes.

One of my favourites...
After 10 previous books, I went into this with as much enthusiasm as the rest, and it did not disappoint! I had the Zero installment before any other, so that was my introduction to the ZF series, and have since been waiting to see if there would be any link made in this series, it was a nice treat to have that link made.
On to book 12!

The best of the best.
The series is amazing. Have read and listened a few time. Mark makes you feel like family and wanting more. If you want a easy enjoyable read that will make you laugh, cry and at times makes you want to run. Start from book 1 and enjoy the roller coaster.

It’s like catching up with old friends
Great fan of both Mark Tufo and Sean Runnette!
Have enjoyed every book in this series. It allows me to go back a book to catch up with who I consider my own little zombie/vampire running from the craycrays too! I so enjoy how Sean brings each of the characters back to life for me. I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment

Jack Walker and Michael Talbot come from two worlds; the same, yet different. They both find themselves transported into an alien one, where things aren’t as they seem. While it appears similar to the ones they come from, there are some terrifying differences. Is it a dream? Or has reality been somehow warped?
