Publisher's Summary

Healing requires separation. When Ethic discovers malice in a woman he thought was perfect, he walks away from their love. Keeping his family safe is his main priority, and falling for Alani Lenika Hill is dangerous. The history of their love haunts him, however, and getting over her isn't easy. Alani has beguiled his two youngest children and they crave her presence as much as Ethic. They want a mother. He wants a woman, but with ghosts and lies between them, the couple is forced apart yet again.

With love comes pain, and Ethic feels all of it. He can't focus on anything and while he is distracted by heartbreak, his eldest daughter, Morgan, is caught up in a deceptive affair. With bad boy Messiah, pledging allegiance to Morgan, she is willing to defy everything and anyone to keep his love forever. This story is a soul-stirring journey of love, loss, and forgiveness.

Will Ethic finally receive everything he deserves? Or will karma circle back for him and destroy him for good? Ashley Antoinette has penned a new classic with the Ethic series. Ride with her as she paints a poignant picture of Ezra "Ethic" Okafor, the imperfect man who gives perfect love.

My Favorite Series!!!

Being that I read the hard copy months ago, I guess I got my hopes up too high for the listen. Not sure if I'm disappointed that this book wasn't narrated by Nicole Small, or if this narrator was just that bad. However, I am a huge fan of the "Ethic" series, I thought my standards were high before...lol...reading Ethic has made me feel like I need to rewrite my requirement list. LOL...
Please Audible have Nicole Small narrate 4 and 5. If you're a true Ethic fan like myself, you've already read 4 and know it definitely needs to be done by Nicole.

Ashley Antoinette is a very gifted storyteller. However, THIS IS THE WORST NARRATOR FOR THIS SERIES!!!

Frustrated

This is my honest review I love the whole Ethic series an i ESPECIALLY Love the author Ashley Antoinett but...this book is pretty repetitive with Alani constantly bringing up how Ethic accidentally killed her daughter I get that was her daughter but either move on or accept his apology once an for all. its starting to become annoying with the back an forth with her whole story. the majority of this book was repeating how Alani was being indecisive about Ethic the same as the prev book. smh...

Surviving Ethic

I love love love love LOOOVE Ethic! At this point however I feel like Ashley is stretching this book for coins ... I don’t feel like I got much from this 3rd book except more back and forth with ethic and Alani. I want more from Messiah and Morgan. Just the way this book was ended I have a feeling the 4th book is some shit that could’ve been put into this one... and a 5th one?? Idk I’m still going to spend my coins or whatever lol but I said what I said 😩🤷🏾‍♀️

Please Bring the Original Narrator Back!

We need the voice of Ethic and less of Morgan! The voice of Ethic is what makes me want to listen to this book! I don't want to hear about Morgan's spoiled butt!

Brought to life even more by this reading.

Of course, I absolutely loved this book. The reader's voice was full of life and there was real distinction between the characters as I listened. I heard things that I somehow missed when reading the book. I'm so glad I chose to listen to it.

Good but a litte depressing

The book is good but a bit repetitive and wordy. There were times when I was listening and a was like "please get to the point". They spend too much time in there head talking. I wanted to know more about Messiah, so I am hoping that they talk more about him and Morgan in book 4. Alani got on my nerves. Either leave the man alone or be with him but please choose. The book was a bit depressing but I really want a good ending for Ethic because I LOVE ME SOME ETHIC. I already know there is a book five so I'm a bit frustrated with that. I like Ashley's books and big fan but stretching out the books is getting a bit too much. Overall I would recommend.
