Brava Ernestine!
Never have I been so excited yet so sorry to reach the end of a book. It is a page-turner and leaves the reader wanting more. Kate Reynolds has crafted a deftly written story full of intrigue, impossible situations, and heart-pounding love in this stand-alone book, yet I fervently hope I haven’t read the last of Ernestine. Ms. Reynolds prowess in crafting this tale makes one wonder if she actually lived in the 16th century. It would be easy to believe! Ms. Dockery’s reading in the audio version is superior. She exhibits a command of speech and language that authentically presents the characters who live in this story. The tale seems to be woven out of pure magic, as it is so elegantly written and read. Don’t pass on this one.

Look no further for your next Audible listen!! Kate Reynolds delivers this truly unique story line full of intrigue, mystery, corruption and friendship. Meliora Dockery’s superb, smooth and expressive narration elevates this book and transports the listener to 1526 Spain. You will find yourself rooting for the reluctant hero, Sister Earnestine.
