Publisher's Summary

The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring....

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f--k flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way my teammates think is hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies.

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first, I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

Second Chance at True Love!

Blue Gardner is focused on taking care of her brother, who is special needs. When she took the job as a Flight Attendant with the Arizona Vengeance organization, she didn’t know that she would encounter someone from her past. A person that she loathes and doesn’t want anything to do with. She is forced to interact with him. What infuriates her the most is that he doesn’t remember her…
Erik Dahlbeck is a force to be reckoned with on the ice, but, he is getting nowhere with Blue Gardner. He doesn’t know why she can’t stand the sight of him and no matter how nice he is, she won’t give him the time of day. He decides on a different approach and finally she talks to him. What he learns about her has him intrigued. When he learns that he has in fact met her before, he wants a do over. Little did he know that his do over, will change life as he knows it!
The Good: This was an all-around feel good story. It made you root for the underdog in the hopes that he will get a chance to prove that he’s not a complete douche.
The Bad: I hated when Blue beat herself down after not answering her phone when her brother’s caretakers called. I mean, stuff happens and he was ok, but, because of the past, Blue blamed herself and her brother being mad at her didn’t help.
The Ugly: The breakup was ugly. It was unnecessary and the way Blue treated Erik was wrong. In this instance, she was so very wrong.
This story was full of unrequited love and second chances. The feelings these two had for each other were tangible and addicting. They were pure magic in their love making and they truly made one another a better person. Erik met Blue at what stage she was in her life. He didn’t try to change her for his needs. He instead, changed himself to be who she needed to finally let someone shoulder her burdens. Her inability to process a situation causes friction, a broken heart, and animosity. Will they find their way back to each other and will she finally see that she can have it all. Love does conquer all, but, what if you don’t allow love to show you the truth? I highly recommend this new series by Sawyer Bennett and get lost in the world of the Arizona Vengeance. Solid 5 Star Read!

Wow...absolutely wonderful!!!! 💕💕💕

I loved this story, I love this series and I love Jason Clarke. Jason has such a deep sultry voice when he narrates. You can feel his passion. I liked the character Blue most of the time when she wasn't pushing Erik away. He was so good to Blue.

Adding in the part of the story with Blue having such a heavy responsibility to her disabled brother and Erik's acceptance just made me love Erik more. So excited for book 3, Legend. More please and keep Jason Clarke!!

More HOCKEY PLS

After I finished Bishop I grabbed Erik right away because I wanted more of this Hockey world. Erik and Blue and there back and forth it is what I love about romance.

The banter, and then we find out why and it’s sweet and sad all at the same time. No, I won’t be giving you the spoilers just know that these two have a lot to work through and come out the other side better for it.

I love love that Erik got how important Blue’s brother was to her. It wasn’t a ploy or anything it was just who Erik is. I love that so much.
In this book, we learn more about the other players and I am so so looking forward to more books, there is one I can’t freaking wait for.

The narration was fabulous, then again I am a Jason Clarke fan. Hello, Ava Erickson kills it as well, she is again one of my favorites so it’s a no-brainer to snag this audio.

Hockey playboy falls for former play girl who is caring for her disabled brother

A very simplistic plot with some character development, not too much drama, and a happy ending. This is the second book in this series so the other teammates also are developed.

I loved Eric and Blue

Oh my goodness! I devoured this book. Sawyer Bennett has created such a magnificent world in her Vengeance series. She magically weaves a stand alone story, into an intricately plotted series. I never wanted this book to end. To make matters worse, I can't wait to see which character she writes about next.

In this book, you meet Erik and Blue. Erik is the team's enforcer and for the majority of his life has enjoyed his single, playboy lifestyle. That is until he meets the sexy flight attendant who repeatedly turns him down.

Blue doesn't have time for players on or off the ice. Her priorities do not include one night stands or flings. At least not any more. She led that lifestyle years ago, but things have changed. Family means everything.

I felt every emotion possible while reading Erik. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to smack some sense into the characters. I love the combustible chemistry, tension and the sense of family being the ones you choose.

I seriously cannot wait for the next book in this series. Sawyer has left snippets for future plot twists and I am dying to find out what happens. my hands cannot get on book three of this series fast enough.

PS - the audio version of this book only adds to the entertainment. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson have only added to Sawyer's brilliant work.

The player meets his match

What a great book that shows how a real "player" can change once he meets the woman of his dreams.

Erik was not only a top of the league hockey player but he was also a woman player. He was well known for his love them and leave them reputation. When he sees Blue on the team's plane he is determined to get her to go out with him.

Blue has so much on her plate she is not interested in hooking up with Erik. When they finally have a heated conversation and Blue reveals the secret she has been keeping Erik is shocked to say the least and even more determined to get her to go out with him. He will even go to extremes to get her to say yes and not mind the teasing he gets from his team mates fo it.

I loved this book, it is a great story with such depth and feelings and I fell for Erik and Blue from the very beginning.

Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did a great job narrating this book. I love Jason Clarke and will listen to anything he narrates. Ava was new for me and I loved her. They were perfect as these two characters and their timing was spot on. Enjoyed it from beginning to end. It's so worth the credit.

What a second chance story!

What a second chance story!

We met Erick and Blue in Bishop (but don't worry, if you didn't read his story, you won't be lost!), and finally finding out just why Blue has it out for Erik doesn't disappoint! And when Blue does finally decide to give Erik another shot, she doesn't make it easy for him - leading to one of the funniest locker room scenes I've ever read!

This book is filled with lots of laughs, swooning and "good stuff" ;), but also goes deeper with Blue taking on the challenge of caring for her handicapped brother. Her brother, Billy, is an integral part to this story and I loved seeing how his character developed.

Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson did a great job of bringing these characters to life!

More hockey greatness

Hmm, I'm struggling with how to describe this one.
I was taken in with the development of Erik, repenting for past behaviour and improving himself. And while I enjoyed the heroine I got to know, I didn't see much change with her, as if her story was lacking in time to tell.
I loved seeing the whole crew as always and am very intrigued about Legend's story with his neighbor.
I didn't NOT enjoy it, just in retrospect, it could have been even more.

LaGina

when I first started this book I could feel the dislike for Erik coming off my body. But the he would turn on the charm and I thought a few times I was panty-less myself. Following hims story was so great. I love when I can get more story from each character and their love interest.

PUCK ME!!

NHL forward and enforcer Erik Dalhbeck loves the ladies and they love him! All except Blue. He’s 6’4, 280 lb, easy on the eyes, wealthy and a famous sportsman.!! What's there not to love? These attributes usually have the ladies at the palm of his hands. Usually!
It intrigues him why the flight attendant for the teams private jet doesn’t fall for any of his charms and seems to actually loathe him. After running into her at a Harvest festival he’s introduced to Billy, Blue’s loveable wheelchair-bound handicapped younger brother and realising there’s more to this woman than meets the eye but her dislike for him is on a visceral level but is eager to melt her cold hard stares. Her interactions with him come across as hostility causing Erik to take her aside to ask WTF? The answer causes him to do some soul searching and introduce her to the man with a heart of gold hiding behind the Man whore! For once, will Blue have his shaved Puck at the palm of her hands?

This book had me looking for an Ice Hockey team, in London! Hoping to get me an ERIK!! After reading and loving Bishop, I could wait to tuck into the second book in the series and Oh-my-God! Dare I say, this one was even better? The night sleep I missed out on was totally worth it. This book is really funny, heartwarming and will give you all the 'feels'

Sawyer Bennet is becoming one of my favourite authors for sure. Her HOT AF scenes almost had me breaking my toes
I love how well thought out her books are, making me genuinely care about the characters! The narrators are also perfectly casted. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson are two of the best narrators out there and are impeccable as Erik and Blue. Jason’s deep rich tone and ability to pull off a female pitch without your ears bleeding is delightful and Ava’s sexy feminine intonation is perfect for Blue.
Although this is a sports romance, my knowledge of Hockey to down to the 1980’s Rob Lowe film ‘Young Blood’ so, knowledge of sports not required I loved it! I’m slowly turning into a Puck Bunny! PUCK ME!
