Publisher's Summary

The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring....

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f--k flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way my teammates think is hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies.

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first, I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

Second Chance at True Love!

Blue Gardner is focused on taking care of her brother, who is special needs. When she took the job as a Flight Attendant with the Arizona Vengeance organization, she didn’t know that she would encounter someone from her past. A person that she loathes and doesn’t want anything to do with. She is forced to interact with him. What infuriates her the most is that he doesn’t remember her…
Erik Dahlbeck is a force to be reckoned with on the ice, but, he is getting nowhere with Blue Gardner. He doesn’t know why she can’t stand the sight of him and no matter how nice he is, she won’t give him the time of day. He decides on a different approach and finally she talks to him. What he learns about her has him intrigued. When he learns that he has in fact met her before, he wants a do over. Little did he know that his do over, will change life as he knows it!
The Good: This was an all-around feel good story. It made you root for the underdog in the hopes that he will get a chance to prove that he’s not a complete douche.
The Bad: I hated when Blue beat herself down after not answering her phone when her brother’s caretakers called. I mean, stuff happens and he was ok, but, because of the past, Blue blamed herself and her brother being mad at her didn’t help.
The Ugly: The breakup was ugly. It was unnecessary and the way Blue treated Erik was wrong. In this instance, she was so very wrong.
This story was full of unrequited love and second chances. The feelings these two had for each other were tangible and addicting. They were pure magic in their love making and they truly made one another a better person. Erik met Blue at what stage she was in her life. He didn’t try to change her for his needs. He instead, changed himself to be who she needed to finally let someone shoulder her burdens. Her inability to process a situation causes friction, a broken heart, and animosity. Will they find their way back to each other and will she finally see that she can have it all. Love does conquer all, but, what if you don’t allow love to show you the truth? I highly recommend this new series by Sawyer Bennett and get lost in the world of the Arizona Vengeance. Solid 5 Star Read!

More HOCKEY PLS

After I finished Bishop I grabbed Erik right away because I wanted more of this Hockey world. Erik and Blue and there back and forth it is what I love about romance.

The banter, and then we find out why and it’s sweet and sad all at the same time. No, I won’t be giving you the spoilers just know that these two have a lot to work through and come out the other side better for it.

I love love that Erik got how important Blue’s brother was to her. It wasn’t a ploy or anything it was just who Erik is. I love that so much.
In this book, we learn more about the other players and I am so so looking forward to more books, there is one I can’t freaking wait for.

The narration was fabulous, then again I am a Jason Clarke fan. Hello, Ava Erickson kills it as well, she is again one of my favorites so it’s a no-brainer to snag this audio.

Wow...absolutely wonderful!!!! 💕💕💕

I loved this story, I love this series and I love Jason Clarke. Jason has such a deep sultry voice when he narrates. You can feel his passion. I liked the character Blue most of the time when she wasn't pushing Erik away. He was so good to Blue.

Adding in the part of the story with Blue having such a heavy responsibility to her disabled brother and Erik's acceptance just made me love Erik more. So excited for book 3, Legend. More please and keep Jason Clarke!!

Jason Clarke gives aural orgasms

Erik is the second book in the Arizona Vengeance by the talented Sawyer Bennett. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend you read Bishop because he's awesome! We met Erik in Bishop and he's a sexy, talented enforcer for the Arizona Vengeance. He's also a serious playboy. He's been after Blue, the team flight attendant, but she wants nothing to do with him. I knew their story was going to be great! Erik knows there's something special about Blue and he's going to prove to her that he's worth her time. When he finds out she's responsible for her handicapped brother, he wants to be there for her. Not because he just wants one night in her bed either. There's just something about her that calls to him. Blue doesn't really even like Erik, but she's attracted to him. He's trying to tear down her walls and show her he's not who everyone thinks he is. Will a few perfect dates and a few big gestures show Blue that Erik is for real? I loved this story! I'm in love with this new hockey team of Sawyer's and I can't wait to read all of their stories. Erik is so sexy and funny and loyal. He really is growing up and trying to prove himself on and off the ice. Blue has had a tough life, but she's determined to take care of herself and her brother. I loved watching her fall for Erik and letting him into her heart and her life. I read it and then listened to the audio and it was better the second time. Jason and Ava are perfection together!

Loved it

This is Erik Dahlbeck and Blue Gardner’s story and what a story it is. We first met both these characters in Bishop the first book in the Arizona Vengeance series from Sawyer Bennett and I have to say I was intrigued by them both from the start.
Erik managed to annoy Blue the first time he met her and nothing he has done since has been able to melt the ice around her; she is determined to ignore him which just frustrates Erik.
Erik has always been a playboy, but he has a heart of gold, if only he could get Blue to see underneath the surface. However Blue is determined to ignore his charms and goes out of her way to avoid him. It brings to mind the comment “the lady doth protest to much”.
When Erik learns that Blue not only has a career as a flight attendant but also looks after her handicapped brother Billy he is beyond impressed. He is bound and determined to get Blue to see the real him and in doing so develops a beautiful friendship with her brother.
Blue notices the friendship building between Erik and Billy and in turn realises that there may be more to Erik than she originally thought.
I loved the camaraderie that was built not only between Billy and Erik but also the rest of the team, it was so endearing and gave me chills.
I loved Erik to me he was a guy determined to make life better for someone else and he certainly has some swoon worthy moments in this story. I admire the strength and determination of Blue and the care and compassion she has for Billy. When Erik and Blue finally get together the c harts and had me riveted.
There is plenty of action on and off the ice and I cannot wait to see where Sawyer Bennett takes this team and I am excited for the next release in the series.
