Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way my teammates think is hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies.

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first, I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

ok, so I haven't read or listen to Bishop yet, which is on my que. I seriously can't wait to go back and read the first book. Even though these are standalones, I teeny tiny wished I had read Bishop first! So go in order because everyone's story starts to flesh out. My heart feels for Tacker even though I got a glimpse of his story. Its going to be a tear jerker for sure.

Jason and Ava were perfect for these roles.

Erik is completely Swoon-worthy!

The Narrators and the story will keep you hooked in this story! When Erik meets Blue for the first time he is suddenly swept off his feet for this girl. To get a date he gets a special haircut... she has to accept RIGHT!

Blue knows Erik and she knows that the playboy is only lining her up to be played again! When she sees this other side of him. One that is loyal and devoted. This is not the person she met five years ago. But neither is she.

I loved Erik’s story so much! He is completely ready to be all in with her and be there for her for anything!

Ok- not amazing

Storyline was ok. I liked how there was glimpses of book characters from book #1 of the series. Worth a credit? I wouldn’t. I bought on sale on Amazon with kindle+whisper sync.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narration was great.

Light and sweet

Arizona Vengeance enforcer and former playboy Erik Dahlbeck has been wondering why team plane flight attendant Blue Gardner wouldn't give him a chance-- only to find out that she actually did five years ago and he blew it-- big time! Erik can hardly remember what happened then, but he is drawn to Blue like a moth to a flame and is determined to make her see that he's changed and that she should give him another shot.

I love how strong the female character in this story is and how sweet and understanding the male one is. I'm not exactly the world's biggest sports fan, but you don't have to be to enjoy this series. Yes, hockey is part of the stories, but the main focus is on the characters!

The narration was done flawlessly. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson were perfect for these characters.

Erik is a second chance sports romance with in dual first person POV. It ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

Love this series

This book/audiobook was so good. I loved Blue and Erik’s relationship and finding out the past of both characters. The friendships of the other teammates and significant others. This series is becoming one of my favorites. I love the relationships on and off the ice along with the aspects of the game of hockey. Sawyer Bennett had not disappointed. Blue and Erik have been on of the better couples, although I can’t wait for Tacker’s book.
Jason Clark and Ava Erickson really kept the narration interesting.

Let me start by saying that Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson totally slay the roles of Erik and Blue!! Having previously read this book, listening to it with these two amazing narrators added a little something extra to an already 5 star read! This is a second chance love story but Erik doesn't really remember the first as he was quite the player off the ice as he was on. Truthfully those days pretty much ended when he meets Blue again (or for what he thinks is the first time) when she shows up as a flight attendant on the team plane. He is such a goner for her! She is a hard sell at first though, because unlike him, she did not forget what had happened before.
There are just so many amazing moments in this book like the reunion, Thanksgiving and Dave & Busters, and all the good stuff in between!! It is evident how incredibly important Blue's brother Billy is to her and when we see Erik's treatment of him, it is just so beautiful and makes me love him even more.
I also love that we get moments with the other players and are learning more about them in each book.
I honestly loved every moment of Erik and Blue's sweet, sexy, and emotional journey to their HEA.

Phenomenal performance of a spectacular book!!!

Ladies, I just received a HUGE reminder why I loved this book. You see, I read the Kindle version last October, and just received to chance to listen to the Audible version. OMG!!! Listening to Jason Clarke, Ava Erickson tell the story, I fell in love with this book ALL! OVER!! AGAIN!!! The performance of this book was just phenomenal. When I closed my eyes, I could actually see the book in my mind as they were performing it. Phenomenal job Sawyer Bennett on picking these two to tell this wonderful story!!! Kudos one and all!!
Ladies, yes you, this book is phenomenal. I LOVE when a bad boy gets his head out of his rear posterior and learns to fly straight!!! Blue and Erik, phenomenal couple, they are definitely made for each other. Well at least after Blue realizes that Erik is not the as… donkey he used to be. Sorry, have to keep this PG. I love this story. I really enjoyed watching Erik have to work to win Blue back. You see, he does not remember meeting Blue before… at least not the first time, or even the third time he sees her on the Vengeance plane where Blue is one of the flight attendants. He can’t figure it out why Blue is always giving him the cold shoulder. So when Blue tells him before she would even think about dating him she tells him has to get his…. Sorry ladies, not spoilers. I will say this…. It was VERY painful, and he took a lot of flack from his team mates.
I think one of my favorite parts in the book does not have anything to do with Blue and Erik. It pertains to Legend another player on the Vengeance team. If you are a love hockey and are a fan of the Penguins and/or Golden Knights, you will know what I am talking about when you read this book. Again, sorry ladies, I am giving nothing away. If you want to know, you will have to read this spectacular book.
OK, now I am conflicted. I have been a fan of Ms. Sawyer’s Cold Fury series from the beginning, OMG this series is just as great, if not… no, I can’t quite say better…..yet!!!
If you like a great hockey romance, then this book is definitely for you. YOU! WILL!! LOVE!! THIS!! BOOK!!

5 Flaming Puck review

I always enjoy Sawyer Bennett's writing style, and character development. She is able to world build and draw you into her characters and her choice of narrators never fails. Erik is a great second chance Hockey romance in the Arizona Vengeance series. You are instantly drawn into the story of Erik and Blue and their rough start. One thing I really appreciate about Sawyer's writing is that she always gives her characters depth and is never afraid to give them flaws, that makes her characters real and relatable to the reader. I give Erik a 5 Flaming Hot Pucks, its an enjoyable listen with flawless narration by Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke. I'd seriously listen to Jason Clarke read the phone book... or my Accounting textbook.

LOVED IT

loved Erik and Blu's story! They are amazing characters and are adorably cute! There wasn't much angst which was refreshing and a light listen. The narration is amazing, I loved this!!!
