This is a tender look at attempting to recover from infidelity. This couple's communication and strength is amazing. He make years worth of unequivocally horrible and wrong choices. But their empathy for each other somehow persisted to an astounding degree. Their communication is especially awe inspiring. Despite their problems, this episode is incredibly optimistic.

It's easy to judge infidelity as immoral and / or a lack of self control. While infidelity could happen to the best of us, it's important to understand why it happened and what the source of the issue may be, especially when the transgressor is guilty and wants to continue the relationship.
While nothing can excuse the infidelity, primarily because it's an extreme form of lies, there is a sense of redemption that you can expect from this episode. Not for him, but for her.
