Heart stopping action. Cataclysmic consequences. Bone deep betrayal. Heroic rescues thwarted. That's just the first couple of chapters of a Tal Bauer book and it's only getting started! Non-stop death defying and hopeful. I didn't want it to end, but my heart can only take so much stress. Surprising. Tender. Brutal. Love. Perfect denouement to a thrilling series. Would love to watch it as a series.

What a story!

Tension, passion, war, perseverance, violence, joy, heartache and pretty fantastical MM action. Who could ask for more? It was captivating

Stunning series!

I've listened to this series with awe. Awe for the brilliant story, and awe for the beautiful, heartfelt narrating by John Solo. All the emotions were right. Everything just fit, like we are used to from John. I will return to this series again and again.

Great series, spy thriller for the gays

This series had it all, action, suspense, love. The only complaints I have are the overuse of the word “soul” and too many explicit erotic scenes that sometimes felt excessive and unrealistic. Otherwise it was a dream come true to have this epic action story that I could really relate to as a gay man. One other small issue, I’m glad it was finally acknowledged in the last book but it took to long for Jack Spiers to be labeled as bisexual. It felt really odd to be cheering for this relationship when one of the men keep calling himself straight even after “going all the way” and admitting his love. Got kind of like a “turning the straight man gay” fantasy that I didn’t like. But like I said that was finally resolved in the end. Fantastic performance by the reader, despite a handful of awkward pronunciations of some words, very passionate and emotive.

this chick's every box

this series is one of the best that I've read in a long time. well rounded characters, plot twists, duplicity, romance, and great action scenes all the way through this three book series.
it definitely has some steamy scenes, but they never feel gratuitous. multiple romances and discoveries go through the story and add another layer.
definitely recommend
