Much better than the first book in the series

While I see a lot of character growth in some characters, I still can’t help overlooking some aspects in them. I really like death, and I love the whole captor - captive story line. Jackson is just shit and I don’t like how Evie justifies abusive behaviors. I can understand why she would do it— she depended on jack for her survival and so she held on to straws to keep her sanity; I can’t imagine the loneliness one would be in if they knew that the only reason someone is helping them is to have sex with them and up one their dead brother.
I didn’t like how death was so pushy with sex. I just hate how both Jackson and Death feel entitled to have sex with Evie just because they showed her kindness (but also abuse!)

Evie and the rest of the character have depth to them which I like, despite their flaws, at their core they behave the way they do not just “because”. While I don’t believe in justifying abuse, I can understand the cognitive distortions Evie has given the traumatic events she’s been through.

Not crazy about the narrator though, most characters had the same voice.

The young adult novel every adult should be read!

What made the experience of listening to Endless Knight the most enjoyable?

I love how Emma brings the passion and accents of the characters to life. I've never heard Cajun spoken before Poison Princess so hearing PP and EK read helped make that more real for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack, forever and always Jack. He is character is so rich and complex, his history is so perfect and mysterious. Kresley Cole did an outstanding job creating his character and bringing him to life in print. She's setting the stage for something that I believe will wow her readers over the next book or two. He's got a story that is twisted and in depth and it breaks my heart where she leaves him at the end of this book!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

These books beg to be made into film! They have every element needed to be a huge hit! Romance triangle, action, adventure, angst, loss, passion, tension, not to mention that the apocalypse genre plus the supernatural genres are hot right now.

Twenty two people come into their powers and a new game begins, but one girl is about to turn the game on it's head, because she's not playing by the rules this time.

Team Death

Aric, Aric, Aric. Always keeping things interesting and intense.

This may be my favorite book in the series so far (have not read book 5 yet, and book 6 is not yet published).

PREVIOUS REVIEW:
Wo-ow-ow! I thought book one was intense, but book two brought things up to a whole new level of chaos, dysfunction, and emotional warfare. I don't know whose team I'm on in this epic death battle between the 22 teenagers assigned to the lives of Taro Cards, but the characters don't seem to have it all figured out either, which keeps things interesting and surprising.

According to ancient prophecy and past games, only one character will be standing in the end, but I'm quite attached to the majority of them at this point, which makes every second of reading nail-bitingly intense.

Another award worthy performance by Emma Galvin!!! Terrific!

Truly, Emma Galvin IS the Steven Spielberg of audio books ( * and Ray Porter). No one had any clue how good Star Wars would be. But the talent of one person brought to life a story that became a legacy! Emma Galvin is that good, and the story IS that good! Will be starting book three immediately.
