Publisher's Summary

From USA Today best-selling author W Winters comes an emotionally captivating and thrilling, romantic suspense.

He holds a power over me like no one else ever could. Maybe it’s because my heart begs to beat in time with his. Maybe it’s because my body bows to his and his alone. Maybe it’s because he thought he loved me before he even laid eyes on me.

He thought wrong. It wasn’t me he thought he loved, and nothing has made me suffer like that little secret has. He thought I belonged to him, but he was wrong. It was never supposed to be me.

Our memories are deceiving, but I know what I want now. What I need more than anything. I won’t rest until he’s as much mine as I am his. It’s always been him.

should have been two books

The female narrator is so whiny not to mention, she just keep repeating the same dialogue over and over again just a ploy to have you buy more books. I have audible escape so at least I didn't pay, I pretty much skipped her parts and still didn't miss any story plot. Than the ending has no real point. I do love Jacob Morgan voice he was the only reason I stayed.

Only one gripe about this series!!

I loved this series. I mean come on Jacob Morgan can read a cookbook to you and make it hot. But The lead female I have never wanted to jump into a book and snap a chicks neck so bad so so whiny wishy-washy. Run off to get attention. Then people end up dead. Or broke up. Now that’s behind us.... the series is a tad twisted. So if your whinny an all about unicorns an rainbows then I would move on. It was great story. Very worth the credit love me some willow winters. And there’s JACOB MORGAN!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Winters did it again

the narrators were great. Loved the ending for this challenging couple. This series let's you know how important family is. I am listening in the order Winters wrote about all the brothers plus the important friends to the family and I can't get enough of all of them. It makes sense when you read or listen in the order it was published. Great job W Winters.

I truly didn't want this book to end.

This book, this series, I think is going to be one of my favorites of all time.

This book had me literally on the edge of my seat, unbelievably anxious and ready for the absolute worst to happen. I honestly don’t think I have ever felt this invested in a book before. From the first page all the way to the end this book had my full attention plus some.

Hands down this book is part of my absolute favorite series ever written. Never in my life did I ever think that a book could make me feel so many things. With the number of books I read by Willow Winters, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to just the beauty and amazing ability she has as a storyteller. It’s absolutely phenomenal. I’ve had favorite authors before but Willow Winters is on another level and for that reason is now on the top of my list.

I’m heartbroken that Carter and Aria’s story is over but I’m so excited and ready to read more by Willow Winters! No doubt about it that this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read.

Love-Hate

This review is for the whole series which if you’ve read this book, you have likely read the previous books. It was decent but could have been better. I think there was about five hours worth of immature inner dialogue that I found cringe worthy and could have been taken out. I love him..no I hate him..no I love him, etc etc. At times it was like two angsty teenagers who constantly break up and then get back together. The main plot was good, and the narrators were fantastic..especially Jacob Morgan. I think of him a voice actor instead of a narrator because he puts so much into each character he’s reading. The series had some good scenes that were well written and made the book easy to listen to, but there were those I mentioned earlier that I could do without. I guess it’s worth a few bucks but I wouldn’t waste an entire credit on each book. They should be put into a single anthology and that would be worth the credit. Hope this review helps.

Wonderful Series! Get this One!

Love this mafia romance series, with all the intricate plots and subplots! The story of the the two main characters, Aria and Carter — who come from opposing crime families — will keep you cheering for them through the toughest of relationship challenges. There is never a dull moment.

My one complaint is the narrator’s choice to portray the female main character as a whiny, constantly teary dishrag. The choice to play Aria this way is inconsistent with her tough, take-charge persona. However, the story is so interesting and suspenseful that it’s worth it to put up with this whimpering woman.

Highly recommended book for interesting, highly developed plots and subplots, and characters that you either love or hate!

Trigger warnings: Capture, caging, physical and psychological abuse, torture, and dubious consent. Also very crude sexual language if that bothers you. Extreme mob violence (guns, knives) with very gory detail.

Love Aria and Carter. Fantastic narrators!

This series was so addicting. I needed to know what was going to happen and how everything was going to end so I basically listened to this nonstop. So much angst between Aria and Carter but Carter finally sees what he has been doing in this book. It is hard not to like Nikolai especially after what he did to help. Love the Cross Brothers and can't wait to read about the test of them. So happy with this ending. I love these narrators. Jacob Morgan is seriously amazing!

What an end

WOW! What an end to the Merciless series. Will she or won’t she run from the man who torments and rips her heart apart, will he find his heart? Will he die or will she save him by listening to her dream? But it leads straight into Jason’s story with Single chance. Or the stand alone for Sebastian’s or Daniel’s stories. If you don’t mind reading instead of listening you could read ALL HE,LL EVER BE, this is a new ending to the Merciless series and to my knowledge not on audio yet so to some of us we’ll have to wait.

Thrilling, suspenseful, heart wrenching perfection.

Wow! Mind blown yet again, Willow Winters writes emotional intense romantic suspense that grips me time and time again.
The narrators both delivered this story to perfection, Savannah brings Aria’s sweet but defiantly strong character to life as does Jacob Morgan with his intensity-he brings Carter the beast to life, but the untamed man hidden behind the roar is ever present.
This story may not appeal to every one but it’s a dark romantic suspense that brings out so many feels.
The Cross brothers are a force to be reckoned with. This series is worth more than 5 stars from me, and will always be a top rec!!

Love❤️

Caters story gets better and better with each book in the Mercilles series. Willows take on beauty and the beast is the best, her ability to tell a story is awesome. Her words drew me in and I never wanted the story to end.
