Robert E. Howard fans should like this

I'm a big fan of the Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age featuring giants like Conan and Red Sonya. This recording took my fancy based on the cover (Frank Frazettaesque) and I was impressed. Its a good long listen with a good voice used for the narration. Enjoyable and, dare I say it, as good as any if the characters and stories from Robert E. Howard. Is that possible?

Dark in places, but great story and narration

I confess to loving the narration of this book. The book can be a little slow at first, but give it time. It builds well both in story and in the way the characters are developed. Promising work from this author. Thank you for such an interesting story.

Zombies and More in 1241!

Camila, the devout Paladin, and soldier of God is fighting for the survival of all that is good and for her soul. Set in 1241 A.D. Camila and the other Paladins charged with protecting the local citizens find themselves struggling with their faith. Camila finds herself having to face a powerful Paladin who has turned his back on God and turned to Satan in revenge. Faced with the walking dead, the evil Paladin, Satan, and now discovering her own inner demon … the fun has just begun.

This is an action-packed fantasy adventure complete with intrigue, battles, and zombies! The author, M.S. Valdez has woven a dark tale rich with details and characters. Each situation is handled clearly and with an appropriate narrative. Valdez provides a solid storyline with plot twists that are unexpected. Further, he grows each character with depth, even the side characters are developed accordingly. Valdez has unquestionably written an “edge of your seat, nail-biting” book. It has something for everyone – a bit of romance, a bit of religion, a lot of action, and a lot of zombies!

The narrator, Josh Innerst clearly adds to the book. His voices are unique, his energy fits the storyline, and his cadence moves the book forward at a steady pace. In my opinion, Innerst was the perfect voice actor for this audiobook.

Action-packed Medieval Historical Fantasy!!!

The righteous, devout Paladin, soldier of the Divinity, fighting for all that is good. Yet, is victory over evil worth the eternal damnation of this holy warrior's soul?
This tale of medieval fantasy is set during the year 1241 in the Holy Roman Empire. The story focuses on three paladin companions who are tasked with protecting the local populace and serving out justice. That is until they are summoned to return to the heart of the Empire to confront a new threat that has arisen in the land, an evil seeking destruction of all life. Fast-paced and action-packed, the story taps into psychological and moral aspects as the line between good and evil is frequently blurred.

This is a biased review given that I am the author, but I do want to emphasize the superb narration of Josh Innerst. Myself being an avid Audible listener/reviewer, I acutely understand how important the narrator's delivery can enhance the tale; and Josh's narration makes my writing sound far better than it has any right!

I hope you enjoy this tale and Josh's excellent delivery!
