Absolutely loved every minute!

I was absolutely captured with this book from the very beginning! The sweet soft spoken Priscilla tells her story with Elvis with such love. You really hear the love in her voice and the genuine laughter as she remembers these moments while narrating. I’ve always adored their story since first seeing the movie “Elvis and me” as a child which was depicted from this book. Now finally an audiobook after all these years I loved hearing every minute of it. I only wish I could hear more of her life after Elvis too. I hope one day she will write another book of the rest of her life. I honestly adore her just as much as Elvis! With this book any reader will adore her so much more than Elvis’ one and only wife but as a mother and a woman who grew into her own while still always loving the man who was much more than just a performer we know as Elvis Presley.

Captivating and made Elvis so much more real to me

I pre-ordered this book after watching the Elvis movie, when I saw that Priscilla was the author and she would be reading it I was so excited but to be honest I wasn’t prepared for the range of emotion that I’ve gone through while listening to their story. What really caught my attention is the way she laughs
Wow recounting their story you can tell how fondly she remembers all of these events from their time together!
I laughed with her and there were times where I teared up it’s really such a beautiful story getting to learn the insider moments from he, the woman he married and I truly believe the only woman he ever truly loved!!! I highly suggest y’all read this book

wonderfully honest

i really enjoyed this book. after visiting Graceland earlier this year, it sparked my interest in this incredible man. it was wonderful getting a raw and honest perspective.

Absolutely Captivating!!

Priscilla takes us on a journey of love and self discovery. She allows us, the reader, to feel her love and admiration for Elvis. Definitely a wonderful read and gives an insight to the love story we all got a glimpse of.

Wonderful insight into the King and the woman he loved

As the wife of an Elvis Tribute Artist, I thought I had heard every story and detail about Elvis’s life. Listening to this book made me realize there was so so much more to this icon, a man who chose to mentor and love this young woman, Priscilla. Read by Priscilla herself, it feels so much more real than if I had read a paperback book. If you are new to the Elvis fandom, this book is a MUST listen

Beautiful story

I personally loved this book. As someone who doesn’t know much about Elvis or who he was, this book gave me a lot of insight on him and his relationship with Priscilla. This book helped me understand more about Elvis and who he was not only as a singer but a person.

special man, special story

I enjoyed getting a view of the man and their life together thatwe don't ordinarily see in all the published works about Elvis. I was very touched by Priscilla's story and the things she chose to share. My heart really went out to these 2 young people, who really didn't have a clue about life...but did the best they could under the circumstances. This was truly a love story with a heartbreaking ending. The only distractions were the too many mispronunciations of words that took away from the performance.

Best audio book I’ve ever heard!!

I had read the book years ago-but nothing has been better than listening to Priscilla tell her story, in her words! Her contagious laughter made the story so real, and so personal! I found myself rewinding it just to hear her laughter! Amazing story!!

Wonderful to hear it read by the author

Loved it! A really nice way to hear her first hand experience with Elvis and what an amazing perspective she gives us. A true love story with all the imperfections. Thank you for giving us a glimpse of yours & his incredible life.
