Right in the childhood

Not only does this story stand the test of time (found as a kid and still coming back to read over and over again) but it's also narrated by Mara Wilson another huge part of my childhood!!!! Absolutely love it

Average story with a tender ending

The sense of justice to teenagers is well expressed. I found the ending to be sweet and satisfying, especially as a dog owner.

THIS IS NOT A NEW NOVEL

Had I realized it was a re-release, I would have gotten it from the library instead of buying it. That said, it was fine. It held my interest but if I had been forced to stop listening halfway through, I wouldn't have cared. Read Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow or The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry if you want a good plot with characters you'll care about instead of this one.
