Publisher's summary

Amidst the chaos of war, can love endure the crossfire of revenge?

As 1907 dawns, Harry Brigandshaw, a promising young graduate, faces a future of limitless possibilities. During a tranquil Dorset summer, love blossoms with Lucinda St Clair, casting its spell over their idyllic days. Yet, destiny takes an unexpected turn. A telegram calls Harry back to Africa. To Elephant Walk…

With the years passing in the vast expanse of Africa, a war is brewing in Europe, that will unravel a tapestry of love, retribution, and tragedy. Harry, torn between duty and desire, finds himself facing an old nemesis, Fishy Braithwaite, now a ruthless commanding officer. Misunderstandings and dark secrets entwine, threatening to shatter lives.

Peter Rimmer’s second novel, Elephant Walk, in the Brigandshaw Chronicles series, is a riveting tale of love, revenge, and the indomitable spirit of a family navigating the tumultuous currents of history.

History

Good story but so many different characters it was hard to keep them all straight. Not as good as the first book of series.

Love it

Just finished the 2nd in the series. I love the books. The characters are believable and you travel with them between England and Rhodesia in Africa. There is so much history you didn't know about and you just want to go ahead and get the next book to see what happens to t he characters.

over the top saga!

Rimmer has a command of language seldom seen in contemporary writers. It is a pleasure to live among his characters and their challenges.
