Dark Romance with a lot of twists!

What a ride! This was a dark romance with lots of angst, drama and twists. I liked that this book started when Alejandro was a teen so we get to see him before the darkness and what makes him who he is now. While it wasn't crazy dark, it was 50/50, it went from dark to romance and back again. Not normally my kind of story normally but I did enjoy this one for sure!

The narration was a hit and miss for me. I thought Marcio Catalano did a good job especially with the accent & language. Lauren Sweet is one of my least favorite narrators, but it's only her voice that doesn't work for me, she narrates great.

This is one of the best books I have listened to in a long time!! The narrator positively made it come to life!

This story has Everything!! Twists turns, excitement ,sex, sex,sex, a fantastic group of characters, murder, love, a to die for alpha male and an ending you won't see coming ...
Just get the book!!

Worth the credit

While I felt this story got off to a rocky start (the first few chapters) once I really got into it I couldn’t stop listening. I don’t know if it’s because this author is new to me or if I was just having trouble connecting with the characters but things definitely got better and I enjoyed the overall book.
This is the first book that I’ve listened to with these narrators but I found myself more than impressed with them.

Great story plot!

This book is great, the twist and turn of characters and situations were believable and realistic, there wasn't a repetitive description of sex like most books do that gets in my nerves ( etc. "over & over", "again& again"). I couldn't put it down, the narrators were good except when one does the voice of an Italian resturaunt owner that's suppose to be a woman it sounds horrible but it doesn't last long but I had to seriously laugh, they should have made that character a man if using a man to change his voice to try and sound like a woman! I was surprised of how the time frame of years jumped of characters , you kind of had to assume and guess because years run together within the same chapter and didn't say 2 years later, or 10 years later, the story would run together then all the sudden say that was ten years later I didn't like there wasn't a separation, kind of like a run on sentence. overall it was a great book!

On the edge of my seat.

What a story! I’ve never read a story that pulled so many emotions out of me. Martinez made me upset often. The roller coaster ride Lexi was on was crazy. Love the plot twist. Very good story. The narrators performance was awesome.
