Publisher's summary

Jimmy "Easy" Turnbull lost more than just his lower right leg during his time in Iraq. The confident man whose good looks charmed countless women into bed has been gone for over three years. In his place is a surly and defensive wounded warrior plagued by self-doubt and anger.

Daisy Cutter doesn't give a damn what people think, not about her tattoos, her piercings, or anything else. Other people's opinions have never bothered her, not even the hot ex-Army Ranger who occasionally takes her to bed (when they make it that far) but can't seem to remember her name afterward.

Daisy wants a new life, and she's determined to get it. Easy wants his old life back, but he knows that can't happen now. Eventually, Daisy's past catches up to her and her dreams of making a home in Rapid City are threatened. Easy must decide what his new future will look like, and whether not there's room for a sassy blonde who pushes all his buttons.

Easy & Daisy

It’s great when you can read a stand alone and still have previous characters involved. This book had humor, no cheating, family and perseverance from a life injury. Narrator is great.

Another great installment - an Easy read

This fourth installment of the Burnout series has found its groove. This very quick listen and moves very fast with a very straight forward premise and story. As we learned in earlier books, Jimmy is damaged. He must come to grips with this and he has found just the person, Daisy. Trouble is, he doesn't know it. I like this fast moving novel. Daisy is a head up woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to try for it.

Does she get it? Well, you will have to listen to find out. Not all books end the way we wish. The narration is good. You should listen if you listen any before. Hey, there is only one to go.

“He’s a scorching hot mess”...

Easy/Jimmy has a lot of issues to work out since he lost his leg and is trying to find his way again. This isn’t truly a motorcycle club, but a group of retired Army Rangers who are the only survivors of their unit, who decided to settle into civilian life together, and who ride motorcycles.
Lloyd does a good job of narration.
Recommend.

Too short

Easy deserved more of a story. It’s cut way too short. All the angst and almost none of the happiness. It’s a shame because it has a lot of potential

Great story & outstanding characters.

It is difficult to bring the reader into a story where there are personal occurrences.
The life we live is just that.... the life we live.
This book touches on a lot of feelings some people run from.
Great job writing a great series of such characters. Thank you!

Loved the story

Okay I liked this as well or more then book one. It was a really good book. I just loved Easy. To be honest I was not certain how I felt about Easy in book 1-3 but we really got to know him in this story.

Easy had some serious issues and it was more then him missing a leg. He had a lot of fears, hurt, wants, needs, and desires. Along with this he carried a lot of mental scares. I found it funny the way Easy and Daisy first hooked up. He was not really interested in her. She was far from his type. At least from the outward appearance it would appear that way. To be honest they were a perfect match it was just neither one could see that yet.

I really like Daisy she truly was a strong woman and had a lot of sass. She was in need of a job and I think Marie’s was the perfect job for her. I loved how she handle the rough men that came in there and love how she dealt with Milo.

Once again in this story we get to see how close the boys really were and how much they truly loved their women.

This book will work fine as a standalone but if you really want to know the characters I would suggest the previous books. I am truly liking the series. I did the whispersync with this book and thought the narrator did a good job.

Easy .... Wasn't Easy!

Great series, which I've enjoyed; however, Easy's story is my least favorite so far.

Throughout the series, Easy's has moments where he cannot deal with losing part of his leg, and lashes out to everyone around him. Then there are times, he can very witty, funny and helpful, so I was not sure what to expect from this character's story. Easy's character externalized his inner anger and insecurities and took them out on Daisy and the others. I didn't really care for the first time these two hooked up, and how he used her. He did eventually come to terms with his new life, and was patient while he tried to convince Daisy he wanted something with her (even if this part of the story felt rushed.)

Daisy's character was awesome! I loved her spunk, wit and her teasing personality with everyone. The banter between her and Milo was hilarious! Even though this story is short, the characters are further developed. I liked how Slick, Vegas, and Tildy excepted Daisy and brought her into their family from the beginning.

Mason Lloyd, as usual, does an awesome job narrating the story! I've really enjoyed his performance, and how he portrays the characters throughout the series.

Overall, a really good MC romance series, where each book further develops the characters and world building.
