Publisher's summary

A fugitive captured. A hero forsaken. A secret revealed.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Three days. That’s what they promised. But on Earth, the danger is unrelenting, and promises are hard to keep.

Now Sheriff Duke is the one on the run, chased by an unexpected enemy eager to finish what they started. An enemy with an agenda that begins with killing him but ends with something worse.

Much, much worse.

Once the secret is out, the universe will never be the same.

Amazing continuation of a great story. BUT! Narration is inaudible at times.

Audible provides an INAUDIBLE narrator.
Davis was better with this book than previous books in this series. But still frustrating. He is a great narrator, BUT stop whispering!!!!
In this book he still likes to drop his voice to a hissing, whispering, hushed tone to emphasize the story.

For those that listen in an audio booth, by yourself in the woods, or in a dead silent room, I’m sure his narration is awesome. For the 90% of listeners that listen in the car, on a plane, while working, its impossible to hear him at times. The drama and voice acting isn’t worth the frustrating inaudible sentences. Please stop!!! Jonathon Davis does a great job when he’s not reading so softly you cant understand the story or hear him.

Well written, engaging. Great characters. Narration needs improvement.

Addicting series

Earth Unrelenting is the second book in this series. Sheriff Duke is called upon to assist in finding a fugitive, Nathan Stacker, that fled Proxima and is now on earth. Proxima is a planet many from earth fled to a long time ago.

A lot is going on. The story transitions well from various locations and situations. Sheriff Duke is an Earther in the know. He is a very valuable person in many situations. Nathan Stacker is a worthy opponent, as are many others.

S Kaye

Once again an intriguing ending. Lots of action and turns, but never full. I don’t agree with the bad language. The narration is really good, keep up good work Jonathan Davis! On to the next one.

A little slow

I’m probably going to finish this series because the story is interesting but we’ve literally covered 3 or 4 days over the course of two books. There’s some decent action but I feel like so much could have been condensed.

My other issue is with the narration. There is just too much variation in pitch and volume. The action “scenes” are too loud and the whisper scenes are too soft. Someone has got to invent technology that will balance this out better! Surely it’s possible?!?
