Publisher's Summary

A menacing wasteland. A destructive new weapon. A planet on the edge of catastrophe.

Sheriff Duke can’t rest. There’s no time to slow down. The threats are unending. The enemy unyielding.

If he wants to stop the apocalypse, he’ll have to cross a treacherous wasteland where the cannibals and murderers are the least of his worries, and the creatures infesting the landscape aren’t the most dangerous thing in his path.

The race is on, the doomsday clock is counting down, and if he fails it will be more than his wife and child that are caught in the fallout.

It’ll be the whole world.

The whole Forgotten universe is amazing!

I've been binge reading this Universe and I seriously can not get enough of it! The Forgotten Trilogy was this amazing blend of Sci-fi and survival horror. And now Forgotten Earth is like a blend of up sci-fi and a western. The characters are so great and Nathan is a great addition. I can't wait to see what else is in store!

Hit and miss

I definitely have a love hate relationship with all of the forgotten books. There are some great moments and underneath it all a decent story. However, there are so many cliche elements, unnecessary action that is too drawn out at times, and every element of every other science fiction story thrown in for good measure that there are times that I just want the whole thing to end. Then just when I have resolved myself that I won’t be continuing the series the author finally reveals something interesting or original that makes me interested again.

Narration is top notch and if nothing alone any performance by Jonathan Davies makes it worth it. He could make a reading of a menu at Chili’s interesting.

All in all, the story’s are fun, and a good listen. However, I have a hard time imagining I would reposted to the series a second time.

Great continued story... odd performance issues

Love the story, but there are weird edits and issues in performance that distracted from the story from time to time. It sounds like parts were used from different takes of the recordings and mixed together but the volume, tone, and/voice just doesn't match.

Fantastic!

This series & the other "Sheriff" books really hold my attention. The characters have depth & their own charisma. Plus it is SO REFRESHING not to hear about the authors politics, no matter how subtle the remarks. Great series. 👍

(This) Book 3 is Even Better!

M.R. Forbes is an excellent story teller! This third installment in the series displays her skill at it's utmost!

Beloved characters return to further struggle to make the earth safe from the trife...and despotic leaders as well as charismatic leaders.

Sherrif Duke puts his body and his life on the line to fight the evils and protect the innocent as he struggles to return to his wife and daughter on the west coast.

Friendships are made, tested, and defended in this wonderful story. I can't recommend M.R. Forbes enough!

The narrator, Jonathan Davis, is a strong reader, vocal actor, and narrator. His voice completely fits this story genre.

All components come together for an enjoyable whole.

Eh

This series is all about the action and that is not just enough to keep it going. To much clutter and stupid things. Gas that past in cars for centuries. Needing to introduce one unique word in the vocabulary, pause. If I run a out of any good sci-fi I may come back to it but I doubt it.

I'm on track

I'm afraid to see how many more of these there are... dunno if I'll have one to listen to on the way home. I had a dream last night where I walked up on the general in a jungly over grown Forrest then RUUUUUUN... it gave me a really good vision as to what the armor looks like up close though. all in all I woke up thinking the dream was cool.

Solid story and lead up to next book

M R Forbe is an amazing author. And this narrator is onr of my favourite too. Up there with great narrators like R C Bray.

Really enjoyed the story, the narrator kept you on edge and lastly an excellent book that connects it to the last book were it all wraps up. So far I haven't listened to the 4th book yet.

A great series

An excellent adventure, faultlessly narrated as usual. A compelling and gripping series. Lots of combat, but never tiresome. I can’t wait for more.
