Publisher's summary

This is the second book in the Wohali Book Series.

Wohali, which means Eagle in the Cherokee language, started out as the story of a seven-year-old Cherokee boy living in the 1600s. In the second book, he is now about to turn eight and he's going to show you what it was like to be an Indian in the 17th century. Wohali lives with his family in the Smokey Mountains in what is now North Carolina. He shows you his life and what they think about the world around them. He will tell you about their clans and the village he lives in, and why they were so successful surviving in the mountains.

The Wohali Book Series will follow Wohali and his family and friends as he grows into the warrior he is destined to become.

Amazing story!

Goodness, what an astounding book recording around a 7-year-old wohali which makes your psyche milder and more quiet. I like the portrayal of characters in the story, in addition to I figured it would be perfect to pay attention to kids. I personally find this story catchy and sure that we will get the following part soon.

The narrator likewise assumed a decent part in making this book catchy.

Fun Story

Not a complicated listen, but a simple story that reflects true life lessons for the Cherokee characters. Lessons we can learn too

Learning a Lot about Cherokee Life in a Fun Way!

This is the second of a series...Wohali the main character is a little older and beginning to pass through the rites of becoming a young adult. This book teaches young readers about the different Cherokee clans, some of the traditional tales about origin of the animals and fire, games and craftsmanship, and how your profession as an adult in the tribe is chosen. I am looking forward to a book #3! This is a great read for young adults!

Intriguing storyline

Helpful history of the Cherokee tribe. I haven’t read the first book in this series but it was easy to follow the story of the young boy. It was interesting how the two storytellers challenged each other to see who could tell the best story. Also the book described how the seven clans of the Cherokee tribe got their name.

Fascinating book

"Eagle Medicine: And the Cherokee Bird Clan: Wohali, Book 2" is a delightful glimpse into the rich Cherokee culture as it existed before displacement by the Europeans. Told as a coming-of-age story of 7-year-old Wohali, it beautifully portraits family, clan, and tribal life. This book is an enjoyable listen for both children or adults,
