Publisher's summary

Sofia Salgado's latest case at Maloney Investigations has some pretty tempting ingredients: blackmail, male strippers, and whipped cream.

When a friend of Sofia's mom finds herself the victim of blackmail, stuffy Aidan has to go undercover as an exotic dancer, much to Sofia's delight.

Can Aidan make it in the cutthroat world of male stripping? Can Sofia stop her mom getting too involved? Does whipped cream have fewer calories when it’s licked from a man’s naked torso?

All these questions and more will be answered in the latest hilarious adventure featuring actress turned PI Sofia Salgado, from New York Times best-selling authors Rebecca Cantrell and Sean Black.

E is for Exposed

This is a super fun blackmail mystery. Sofia is new to the detective agency and lands her first case on her own. But she will have to bring in her bosses annoying son/her co-worker, Aidan in soon enough. Dealing with blackmailing male strippers and needing an inside man, Aidan is sent in. The waxing scene is so funny, and so is Sofia’s Mom. She adds that special touch to the book! Wonderful job on the narration by Madeline Mrozek!

"Expose" Yourself to Exposed!

"E" Is For Exposed: Malibu Mystery, Book 5 by Sean Black and Rebecca Cantrell, narrated by Madeline Mrozek takes you on an absolutely hilarious and adventurous ride through the world of strip clubs and blackmail. If you've read any of my reviews, you know I have a (slightly annoying) habit of not listening to books in a series in the order they are intended. Well, I did it again, but with this one I didn't spoil any of the fun for myself because it could be considered a stand-alone. :-) If anything, it made me more excited to go grab Book 1 and start at the beginning! The writing is fantastic! I felt like I was there, solving the case right alongside my new besties. The engaging plot and dialogue between characters had me laughing out loud throughout the entire book. Even secondary characters, such as the mom, had me rolling with laughter! Seriously, if the other books are as good as this one, I may have found my new favorite series!!

The perfomance by Madeline Mrozek is 100% outstanding! This is not my first time listening to her, but if it is yours, just know that you are in for a treat. She has an amazing ability of bringing stories and characters to life. If given the option to read a book or listen to it, 10 out of 10 times I would choose to listen if Madeline Mrozek is narrating. She doesn't just add to my overall listening experience...she MAKES the experience! She pulls you in with her first word and doesn't let go. Even now, after the book has ended, I can hear the characters still speaking. I think there are a lot of good narrators out there, but there are few who I would call great performers. Madeline Mrozek is a performer. I'm sure many of you will agree with me when I say she is a master and true professional in this field! ;-)

It is without hesitation that I rate "E" is for Exposed: Malibu Mystery, Book 5 by Rebecca Cantrell and Sean Black, narrated by Madeline Mrozek 5/5 stars across the board!! I assure you, it is entertaining and non-offensive. It had me laughing, heightened my mood, and made me feel like I, too, was a PI in training. I'm confident you will feel the same! With my next credit, I plan to purchase Book 1 and start my adventure with Maloney Investigations from the beginning. I highly recommend this audiobook to fans of the genre, as well as to those who appreciate good writing and outstanding performances!

Thank you for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)

Sofia and Aidan Are Funny

I like this series. Sofia and Aidan are like bickering siblings but they are supposed to be working together as investigators at Maloney Investigating, owned by Brendon, Aidan’s dad. It is a fun read and every story stands alone although I recommend that you read the first book so you understand how it all began. This book is funny and reveals the humorous writers behind the stories. There is a pouch camera, a male dance group, a couple of feisty housewives, and Fred the Seagull. All in all it makes you laugh. I bought both the Kindle and Audible versions last week, then found out I had read it when it was first published in 2017 but that’s okay because it is that good. I listened to the audible version this time and enjoyed hearing Madeline Mrozek speak as Sofia and all the gang. It was a fun read. Waiting for the next book, F is for ..... something yet to be announced.

A funny cozy mystery with a great narration

Investigator Sofia Salgado receives a call from her mum about a new case: one of her mother’s friends is blackmailed by a stripper, and this has to remain a secret.

I absolutely love cozy mysteries, and being this one narrated by Madeline Mrozek I couldn’t resist.

The story is very entertaining, and had plenty of hilarious moments and witty comments. This is the fifth in a series, but it can also be read as a stand alone, like in my case. The characters are really well portrayed, and they feel like real people.

Something that I liked is that there’s no romance in the the story, not even on a second plane. There’s a boyfriend, but it doesn’t play any major role in the story.

Madeline Mrozek delivered a 5-star narration, as usual. She made me believe I was listening to several different people, each with their own voice and style. Madeline is definitely among my favorite narrators.

I really enjoyed this audiobook and I will definitely give the other books in the series a try.

I received a copy of this book in audio format from the narrator in exchange for an honest review.

A Funny and A Bit Naughty Detective Story

When her mother's next door neighbour is blackmailed by a stripper at a local all-male review, junior P.I. Sofia and her boss's son Aiden swing into action to catch the culprits. Solving case will require exposing more than they'd intended and seeing things they can't unsee, but for the listener, it's all good fun.
Narrator Madeline Mrozek is excellent for this sort of story, with great storytelling skills and a humorous side that perfectly compliments the subject matter.
A great story that will definitely have me looking for more stories in this series.

I Laughed so Much! Loved it!

I love this series and the narrator! This has to be the absolute best book in the series so far!!! I haven't laughed this much while reading a book in ages. Aiden goes undercover as an exotic dancer, that thought alone is just hilarious. The laughs continue through out the book. The narrator does a fabulous job of bringing each of these characters to life. My niece called while I was listening and I was laughing so hard that I had to explain and at the end of my explanation I had her laughing too! This is a must read!!!
