Publisher's Summary

When newly minted vigil Gavin Randall is summoned to a small town in New Mexico, the last thing he’s expecting is to have to fight a cartel of necromancers. Their undead horde tests the limits of his powers and shows him just how vulnerable he really is...and that’s not the worst of it.

His enemies have spent centuries preparing for a war no one within the Archive has foreseen, and he has yet to learn to control his abilities or figure out his place in this ancient conflict. With time running out, will he be able to forge the alliances he needs to survive the coming storm?

Loved every second!

It takes a great author to be able to get me to be interested. Then it takes a great story teller to get me so wrapped into the story that I feel like I'm actually in the story. The team that Ken and Paul make is one of the greatest I've had a pleasure to listen to in a long while. Being able to vividly visualize the people, events and places that this book describes make my long drives seem like they never happened.

Thank you! Now onto book 3!

-Steve

Excellent!

This series keeps getting better and better! It crosses over nicely with the author's other series, Warden Global. Ken Lange does an excellent job creating this awesome world of magic and myth with each series. The more I get into it, the more I realize that each series is just a small part of a much bigger story. I can't wait to see where this goes!

Edge of your seat!

Dust Walkers was a really good addition to the Vigiles Urbani Chronicles. I love the snarky humor, non-stop excitement, and the fact that the main characters aren't all college-aged kids. The Warden Global crossover was fun, so I'm glad I decided to follow the author's recommended reading order list, though it wasn't strictly neccessary for the story to make sense. I really love this universe, and I'm already downloading the next book!

Great listen!

Thoroughly enjoying all the books by Ken and this is no exception!
I’ve been listening the the Warden Global series (5 stars!) which is pretty complex, so this is definitely an easier listen by comparison, but don’t worry, it’s still full of intrigue and mystery as well as bursting with action and magic.
You can’t go wrong with these books.
Paul does a super job with the narration too, they make a great pairing!
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.
