Intriguing plot

Male narrator ruins the book. In places he sounds like AI. His female voices are awful. No emotion. Ugh.

What a ninny

I liked the marriage of convenience with the revenge mixed in.
I started really liking the heroine, but as soon as she starts to encounter the hero, she becomes an idiot. She is a supposedly independent and intelligent woman with absolute no common sense. She is shocked or scandalized by all sorts completely normal things. She gets engaged and <GASP!> she has to move in with her husband!!! She actually hadn’t even considered that and is a shocked. 😐She wants to proposition him and yet just CANNOT! She is a complete ninny.
I liked the hero and feel bad for all he’s been through

While I enjoyed the series, my only complaint is that the male narrator was dry and underwhelming.
