Avery Sinclair is 19. She's in college, and during the summer she works on her grandparents' horse stables and race track as team leader. She takes her work seriously. Her future is in equine operations. She has no time for slackers on her team. But thanks to her uncle doing a favor for a friend, Avery ends up with Bryce Slater for the summer.

Great Story & Narration🎧 ❤️G-Man's Next Generation!

I loved this story, it captivated me from start to end. I have become a huge fan of Andrea Smith’s work, she has a wonderful writing style and creates stories and characters that are interesting and real. I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy the first two books in the G-Man series and am anxiously waiting for the rest of the series to become available on Audible, which is happening soon. While waiting I was happy to see this new release on audible. Dude Interrupted is a G-Man, Next Generation is Bryce’s story, his parents Samantha and Slate are from Diamond Girl. If you were expecting Bryce to be just like his Dad, a diehard G-man, well think again. He is more like a typical angsty teen, though he did inherit a badass attitude and good looks, with no plans to follow his Dad’s footsteps. But he finds himself in a heap of trouble and with a court order he gets sent away to go work on horse ranch cut off from friends and life as he knows it. He is not happy about it but abides and tries to acclimate. Avery Sinclair is the supervisor for all summer workers, including Bryce. She has a take no crap attitude and great work ethic. I loved when these two first met, I loved that she had no problem setting him straight right from the start. I also loved how their opinions of each other begin to change and they start to become friends. All is starting to go well for Bryce until something from his past comes for a surprise visit. A lot goes on in this story, it is well plotted with some plenty of drama, angst and some great plot twists. I loved the build up to romance between Bryce and Avery and most of all I loved the direction Bryce chose to take his life and the great ending. Andrea Smith, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I listened to the Audible edition, David Black is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. He did a great job projecting the emotions of the characters as well as the drama of the story into his performance. He his an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for a great listen🎧

Bad boy Bryce

Dude Interrupted is the second book and a splendid addition to the G-Man, Next Generation Series. So far, I'm really enjoying the spin-off, and I love the glimpses of our past favorite characters. The storyline is super engaging and entertaining, despite being a YA, all ages can enjoy it. Andrea Smith has an incredible ability to captivate her readers/listeners with her imagination, charming characters, and witty dialogue. David Black did a fantastic job with the narration; he portrayed the characters very nicely, bringing them to life. This was a delightful listen, one I highly recommend. I have received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Bad Boy and Girl Next Door

This was a great little read. Bryce and Avery were a cute couple even though neither thought the other was their type. Bryce with his bad boy player ways determined not to follow in his dads fed footsteps. And Avery the good girl next door type not putting up with his shenanigans! This makes for a hilarious pair and its a nice change of pace that the guy has to actually work for it to get the girl! I love every minute of this book and you will too!

I really enjoyed this story!

Dude Interrupted is the story of Bryce and Avery. I really enjoyed this story and I loved how strong Avery was. Bryce had no chance of overpowering her. After a rough start, he turned out to be a great guy, but there was quite a bump to overcome first. It was a real pleasure to listen to this book. The narrator did a great job with both male and female voices.

Dude Interrupted

Oh the drama. Bryce Slatter was your typical bad boy. His life changed when he was forced to go work on a horse ranch. He fell in love. I really enjoyed this book.

Cute

This story was cute, quirky I thought. The characters showed their later teen age. A lesson learner for him. Excellent narration.

Bad boy goes good

The story is a little bumpy at first. It gets better as you go on. It gets to where you can't put it down. I got this book from storyorigin and this is my voluntary and honest review.

It’s not bad

Didn’t really care for the story much. The narrator was really good I think that’s why I finished the book I don’t think I would have finished if he wasn’t good.

A lot of fun

I love the G-men series so I was expecting the next generation to be a lot of fun and it was! I have to say I was a little surprised at how mad his parents got because he partied at 18. Lol. How do kids in America survive until they are 21!!? Here in Ireland I was at university at 17 and drinking at 18. I loved the characters and setting in this book. I liked how Bryce wised up and matured as the story developed. It was a cute romance and nicely narrated. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.

Enjoyable

This was really interesting and i thought it was very entertaining seeing the characters grow up and develop into who they are meant to be. All the characters were well developed and I found myself. Wanting to know more and more of what they were doing and how things were going to progress. The narrator was a good choice, there was a clear distinction between the characters and the range of depth that he was able to portray with the characters was fantastic.

Awww... Adorable...

A really well written boy to man story. Totally made a million times be with there being horses in the story! (I know, I know... not relevant... But hey, I love horses and have two in my family) I liked the plot and not knowing where it was going... Andrea Smith is very good at not being predictable, you only have to read the Evermore series to know this! Narration was upbeat with clear character definition.

It was an Ok listen

Narration 4 ★ Story: 4 ★ Execution: 3 ★ I guess I went with too much expectations and end up jinxing the story. The blurb suck me right in, I was desperate to listen so I did. While the story was nice, I think the pace was off. A lot of stuff happened just to be solved quickly and forgotten. The "hate" between them was almost non existent, it happen just as quickly as it was gone. They end up together really fast and kinda out of nowhere. Bryce is painted like this bad boy who doesn't want anything to do with his life and it's an embarrassing for his parents. We are told this, but his actions told us otherwise. It seemed fabricated. Also, there is more telling than showing situations. The situations occur and we were told about them in the next chapter. I'm not really keen of these writing style. So I guess the problem was me and not the book. I was expecting something and was presented with another, unfortunately. The narration was really nice. David Black is new to me, but I like his intonation and pacing. I could understand easily what he was saying. He also differentiate one character from another, which I appreciate. I thought the narration itself, when there was no dialog, could have been tone down. Bryce always seemed angry because of it, but overall I really like it. This audiobook was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Wake-Up Call

Dude Interrupted by Andrea Smith is a great "growing-up wake-up" book. I loved how the author had the main character wake-up and learn what was important to him. The thought of going off the grid for some is probably terrifying, yet the freedom is incredible. The imagery in this book was so well done. I could envision so many details. I loved how the story was original and had some unpredictable twists. David Black was wonderful performing this book. He had distinguishable voices for the numerous characters and I could hear who was speaking.

Tough love!

What happens when you are 18 and the rebelling gets out of hand? Bryce finds out when his parents send him to a friend's ranch for the summer. Some good, hard work away from the temptations will hopefully get him on track. Avery works her grandfather's ranch each summer, taking her job seriously. This excuse for a helper is not going to cut it, but she digs her heels in and gives him the tasks to start with. And our story begins. It's a fun, new adult story with Bryce's coming of age. There are some very good messages in this story, learning about life, how your actions affect you and how to deal with them. There is also a little mystery that keeps the story flowing. It's a small town, feel good story you will surely enjoy. David Black is the narrator, and it's my first listen of his. I really loved his voice! He has a great variety of voices, does age differences well, from old women to young men and gives the story a good feeling. I enjoyed his performance and will be watching for more of his books.

Dude Interrupted

Bryce is the hot bad guy all the girls want. But being the only one over age at his high-school friends party means jail for him. His parents think he is in too much trouble so they ship him off for the summer in exchange for the jail. But they totally forget to tell him much about it. And his new 19 year old boss seems to be a pain. The story is nice and so was the narration.
