Great peak into a strong woman's life

I can picture the places, people, and situations thanks to great storytelling and excellent narration. It was over too quickly. This would be an excellent book for any would-be vets to really understand the challenges. As it is for entertainment, it's great storytelling of a strong woman's journey to be who she wishes to be.

Couldn’t stop listening!!

I really enjoyed hearing all of the exciting stories about being a large animal Vet! I flew through this audiobook as I couldn’t wait to hear about the next adventure. the story started out good but after the stories continued they (stories) Became much like the last. THIS read is twice as long as needed

Not bad, but way too much time spent on her personal life.

I enjoyed the chapters about treating animals and the sometimes unusual characters she encountered. Unfortunately, a lot of the book is taken up with overly long chapters about her injuries/sickness/recoveries and her irresponsible love life with its resulting consequences and hardships all the while banging the drum of feminism and repeatedly saying how independent and gritty she is, All the while her poor parents have to care for her daughter so she can continue to work. Nothing very independent about that. There are better veterinary memoirs.
